Win 10 is a yes, but the strange thing is this has been working fine since the 20th of Feb and I have been denied access only the last couple of days.

OK, you might try this. It is a registry mod that will allow you to take ownership of a file or folder.  It will add "Take Ownership" to the option list in Windows Explorer.

Take File/Directory Ownership

I was thinking you could just right click on the ResScan Icon and it lets you select run as administrator as an option.

Crimson Nape

Thanks for the mod I will try it if all else fails

Walla Walla
I didn't realize that option was available and thank you but it didn't give me access either.

hmm... jbee18, look at the card with File Explorer; drill down through the directory hierarchy examining the Properties of each, and verify that they aren't restricted. Well, some may be Read Only, and a few Hidden and/or Read Only, but your User should be able to see them all in File Explorer. (What I'm wondering is if ResMed has changed the Properties of any of them to restrict viewing them. pholynyk could probably tell you what level of permissions they must have for SH to be able to properly import the data.)

Hi Shaun,

Since I installed the reg mod that Crimson Nape sent me I have ownership of the files with my PC. There are no hidden or read only files. I even tried associating the files to Sleepyhead and I still only get a summary. There are some log files that look to be in some kind of code, but nothing that makes any sense to me.

Not sure this applies, but have you checked in the Clinician's menu to make sure Essentials is still set to Plus?

RE: ResScan Access Denied message - jbee18 - 03-09-2018

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!! Dancing

I never would have thought this but the culprit was my Anti Virus software. A recent update / upgrade, Bitdefender "free to plus version". I am not sure why but Bitdefender blocked access of both Sleepyhead and ResScan to the files on the SD card.

RE: ResScan Access Denied message - ShaunBlake - 03-09-2018

That's GREAT! (I was anticipating a similar problem cuz I got my machine shortly after you got yours!)   GoodOne

How in the world did you figure it out?

RE: ResScan Access Denied message - jbee18 - 03-09-2018

I have to thank the other half for the hint. Rolleyes She asked if it could be connected to the software change. I was highly doubtful but when I opened the Bitdefender control panel there was a message about blocked apps and sure enough it was ResScan and Sleepyhead. "Who'd a thunk it?"
