I imagine that you would have received a different email since you are in Canada. This is what I received: Quote:Dear myAir™ user, RE: Disabiling MYAIR - Marillion - 03-13-2018 I got something very similar. I'm good with all that. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - Hellodare - 04-10-2018 I got a kick out of dme telling me it has bluetooth when in fact is has cellular. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - Mosquitobait - 04-10-2018 * We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share your personal data with your consent, pursuant to this Privacy Notice and to the extent permitted by applicable law. That is, until someone leaves their laptop in the back seat of their car (with all Resmed patient information). Oh, and someone breaks into the car to steal it (always do). RE: Disabiling MYAIR - Sleeprider - 04-10-2018 I don't think there is very sensitive information being transmitted to MyAir. Even I find it is useless which is the reason I shut it down. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - PsychoMike - 04-10-2018 Sounds to me a little like they want to commercialize some of the info they have on you from MyAir (so they can sell your contact info to other suppliers), but still be HIPA compliant. Probably don't have to worry about them sharing actual medical info (they'd really get whacked under HIPA if they did), but it looks like they (or whomever they sell your non-medical info to) are apt to fill your email and mailbox with spam to feed their wallet. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - djensen9367 - 04-11-2018 I hope my info helps them, if you are that concerned about privacy you best be thinking about opting out of FACEBOOK, there is real danger there. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - Ron AKA - 04-11-2018 I strongly suspect there is a sim card buried in the guts of the machine somewhere, and if one was brave enough to dig into the machine it could be pulled out to permanently disable the wireless feature. I'm not brave enough, so can't confirm for sure. RE: Disabiling MYAIR - pholynyk - 04-11-2018 There will only be a SIM card if your machine uses a GSM or LTE modem. If you have a CDMA modem, you will have to disconnect the modem board inside your machine. Somebody here described how to do it quite a while back. I can't be bothered; CDMA will disappear soon enough, although Ontario may be the last holdout. |
