RE: Question about Insp. Time - Walla Walla - 03-18-2018 (03-18-2018, 09:00 AM)Sleeprider Wrote: Default rise time is 300 ms. I think I have read that with COPD a shorter rise time is recommended to decrease rise time, leaving more time for exhale. What I found is the reason a quicker rise time is used for COPD is to insure more breathes for bringing in air. This helps blow out the CO2 and increase the O2 levels. Also on my Dreamstation the default was 200ms for what it's worth. Also forgot that there's no Rise time on the VAUTO in fixed pressure unless Easy-Breathe is shut off. RE: Question about Insp. Time - Sleeprider - 03-18-2018 Makes sense. Thanks. RE: Question about Insp. Time - Matt00926 - 03-18-2018 I'd just raise the Ti max a bit, maybe to 2.2-2.3 seconds. It seems once you fall asleep you tend to breath more shallow. I would leave Ti min at the default of .3 seconds. RE: Question about Insp. I would leave Ti min alone unless you have respiratory problems. RE: Question about Insp. Time - gwc2795 - 03-18-2018 Thanks matt. I am going to try 2.2 tonight. |
