Oh yeah, that's true; Dropbox and Google Drive are on the long list of sites blocked by the Great Chinese Firewall, so either before you go you need to set up a VPN (many of those are blocked, too) on the device the FlashAir will be uploading to and sharing through in China, or use one of the Chinese file sharing services from Tencent, Baidu or the like.

Not easy to set up, but doable, especially if you have someone tech-savvy help you and your mother both here and there.

this is my first time heard about flashair card. Could you be more specific on the idea.

looks like this card will replace SD card on the device? What type of program need to set up, on device or some type of pc app?

so the idea is

1.  the card can upload the data to dropbox in China wirelessly?
2. And if it does, then i would be able to download the data in US and port to sleephead?

thank you

Here's a bit of information about the FlashAir card

Your understanding is correct; its form is the SD form and replaces the SDHD card in the ResMed device.

1: Yes and no. Unfortunately, the tiny device cannot upload to the cloud; it must be within range of a wireless router connected to the Internet, which would receive the data and upload via the Internet to a Dropbox-type file repository (probably best to use Google Drive).

2: You should be able to reach and download the data, depending on China's regulations.
" the tiny device cannot upload to the cloud; it must be within range of a wireless router connected to the Internet, which would receive the data and upload via the Internet to a Dropbox-type file repository " . this part i don't quite understand.

As some other members suggest when you asked the question in another thread, basically you copy the contents of the SD card, either wirelessly via FlashAir and FlashPAP, or "manually" buy inserting it into a computer. As long as you have the SD card's directory named "P-Series" copied, you can share that by uploading it and/or sharing it on a file-sharing site like Dropbox, (except choose one that isn't blocked in China) or TeamViewer, which apparently might not be currently blocked.

Right, you have a Resmed. On my Respironics DreamStation, the data is in a folder called P-Series. Your fellow Resmed owners can confirm the name of the data folder on your machine.
