Thank you for confirming! It may be that the tolerance for correct 'harmonics" in the airflow through that slot is just too small to be reliably reproduced in mass manufacturing.
I work with product design engineers and they, too, will have to be "clubbed awake" (my wife will volunteer FYI) in order for them to see the need for a fix here, but between the noise and the "jet flow" from the vent that irritates many on these discussion boards, hopefully they do see it.
