I would show you the sleepyhead charts but I get the attached message and not sure what that means. I'd need clear directions on taking care of that, if you don't mind.

Question for today, is the high number of hypopneas a concern? What is a hypopnea? the CA and OA are acceptable if they stay at that level. I have a little head cold so not sure if that is having an impact.

Also, the ST is taking care of the CA, so far, is the ultimate goal to get CA, OA and total hypopneas as low as possible?

Thanks again.

The goal is to get all of the numbers into a therapeutic range, which is defined as under 5 AHI or 5 events per hour.  Once there the focus shifts to comfort and how you are feeling although the point of the shift to focus on comfort is not cut and dry, sometime comfort needs to be focused on early to promote use then tweak to get to the therapeutic range.

A head cold may have an impact on hypopneas.

The ultimate goal is to provide you with a good steady restful nights sleep to alleviate all the issues that arrive from apnea.  Unfortunately, this frequently takes time no matter what your numbers are.

I'm glad that it is working for you.  Stay with us and we will help you to tweak it in.

Ok to install over the previous version? My data will be secure?

Thank you

It should. The new beta uses a different database structure than all the previous versions.

The insraller will use a different directory to store data, in fact this new version will not overwrite your existing version, but will reside in a new directory.

Will my existing data be read by the new version or will I need to get that data transferred into the new version? If I need to do anything, please let me know what I need to do.

Thank you

FWIW I skipped over the ST machine to get ASV. Cannot confirm either way if ST try/fail is normally required or not. I did try/fail both CPAP and BiPAP then was placed in the ASV path. ResMed IMO is the first choice here.

Thank you Bonjour and Sleeprider for your input. I did pass along your info to the doc and he is familiar with EERS, but wants to give this machine some time to see how it goes. I was against the ASV machine primarily due to the cost, so I thought I'd give the ST a go first. He mentioned the EERS are not as effective as the ASV or ST. Also said that ASV are 95% effective at treating CA, and ST are 80% effective. and EERS are 30% effective when used alone.

Ultimate goal:

IMO regardless of machine or apnea type, AHI under 5 is treated. My personal goal would be under 5 AHI and feeling better. Coffee

Hi cbombzzz,
Good luck with CPAP therapy and getting the machine you really need.

Ok, Finally got the beta sleepyhead loaded. Let me know what you think of this...

I do have a headcold, but I think everything looks good except the Hypopneas. The previous night was very similar but the Hypopneas were twice as high.

Thank you all.
