I think that is a legitimate medical reason to have and use a travel CPAP (though I don't know if it is one that insurance companies recognize). But it isn't one that was articulated in the OP. The OP indicated a business need to travel as he does, not a medical reason that he is unable to handle the weight of his suitcase if he takes a regular CPAP. That isn't to diminish the utility of the travel CPAP, only the likelihood that he can get insurance to pay for it.
