Gideon,

My AirCurve came in the mail today and I have it configured with the settings you provided. Looking forward to giving it a try tonight!

I did see Trigger and Cycle settings in the menu - these are currently set at Medium. Do you recommend keeping those at that level?

I'm not sure what happened last night but I checked OSCAR today and was surprised to see a ton of Clear Airways.  I've never gotten Clear Airways except the odd one here and there.

I did change my P10 cushion size from Medium to Large. Also changed Cycle from Med -> Low on the Aircurve.

Could these be leaks?

Seems like high(er) EPR/PS can trigger these CA events in people. Great explanation by Gideon - http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-CPAP-Clear-Airway-Events?pid=465325#pid465325

Will set Cycle back to Medium tonight and see if CAs improve in the next few days.

For the central events, please change trigger sensitivity to high or very-high, and cycle to medium.

Hi Sleeprider,

I will set trigger to High tonight and see how it goes. Thanks for the recommendation.

Compared to CPAP it feels like its much easier to hyperventilate with BiPAP. With CPAP the exhalation time was much more drawn out. Now its very easy to exhale faster due to the low EPAP.

After using CPAP it almost feels, dare I say, wrong? Guess I've gotten used to a bit resistance when exhaling...

Setting the trigger to High seems to have reduced my Clear Airway events.  Not all, but its much better than before.

OSCAR results from last two nights are attached.

Appreciate you helping me out with this.  Should I adjust any other settings?

The last two nights were pretty bad again - not a lot of sleep with my mask on and the few hours I got in were mostly Clear Airway events again.

I swapped to my large P10 size the last two nights since they align better with nostrils and provide more airflow. The increased airflow doesn't feel too good at times however.

I didn't think that medium vs large would make a difference to my therapy but it does "feel" different. Can a bigger nasal mask impact therapy negatively?

Please show us your daily charts. Then we can see what really bD means.

Apologies, forgot to attach them.

Trigger has been set to High since Feb 1. Cycle at Medium.

Trigger sensitivity to Very-High. Next step is to reduce PS to 3.4. Let's take one step at a time.
