RE: Big Regression - high resp rates prior to multiple wake ups a night - FordGuy84 - 11-06-2023 Thanks as always for your responses. I'm going to try increasing the EPAP to 3 tonight from 2 and see if that helps. Should I continue to increase pressure or am I just going to cause more harm than good? I've also shared two screenshots (first one from earlier in night when i'm asleep peacefully, and second one during the REM like periods right before I woke up). On a research note, I looked at that flow limitation page you linked and had a hard time seeing the inspiratory flow limitation pattern in mine. Not questioning what you saw as this is my first time, but just thought that mine looked like the expiratory mouth breathing with normal inspiratory flow morphology picture. I could certainly be wrong in that assessment, but I do sleep with my mouth open all night if that's any consideration. If I go down the path of the biPaP, any tips for how to broach that discussion with the sleep doc when I do see them? I feel like they'll give me a glassy eyed look and be like if we thought you needed that we'd have given you that. I'd be happy to say that it was recommended from this forum but likely they'll give me a hard time. Curious for any tips on how to get them to take me seriously. Forgot, the images |
