RE: Provigil and sleep apnea - robertbuckley - 02-21-2017 Provigil (Modafinal is the generic) is the original. Nuvigil was introduced when the patent on the Provigil was running out and is slightly different. The Modafinal should be a lot less money than the Nuvigal. Everyone is different in how they react to drugs (and how drugs interact). I have found that the Provigil/Modafinal works better for me then the Nuvigil formulation. Bit of trivia which may or may not be true - supposedly the drug was invented as part of the space program to help the astronauts be sharp with time shifts they went through. It seems there is a proposed settlement in a lawsuit regarding the price paid for this and the generic versions of Provigil purchased between June 24,2006 and March 31, 2012 . |
