Not while it's hot, but perhaps while the water is still lukewarm. I usually fill it about an hour or more after switching the machine off.

I suspect you got the new Airsense 11. That comes with a redesigned humidifier chamber (with round baseplate), but it won't fit the Airsense 10 range. If your sure, you got the Airsense 10, please take a photo and post it. Thanks.

Thanks for that. Perhaps the new design isn't available in Europe yet. Strange though that it has been around since 2021.

When I get up I empty my chamber and pop it back in while the air is running for drying the tube. Once that 30 minutes is over I take the chamber out, open it, and let it dry all day. Then a few hours before bed I fill the chamber and insert it.
When I empty it the water is warm but not hot.
No idea ifthe way I do things makes a difference.
On the redesigned chamber I wonder if the capacity is the same? I bet the redesign was so they could use the common plate from the AS11, lower mfg cost.

What's really strange is that the re-designed water chamber (from previous 2021 thread) doesn't come up anywhere on a Google search. Also CPAP Reviews (Nicko from Australia) did a Youtube video precisely about the design/leak problem about two years ago (later than this thread). Maybe Resmed trialled a small batch prior to the launch of the Airsense 11 in August 2021. Has anyone here purchased a replacement humidifier very recently and got one with a round plate?

I ordered a new water chamber last weekend from a Montreal vendor. It arrived yesterday and had the circular heating base.

Is the round base on the new chamber really small, because it would have to be to fit on top of the square base plate (the part that heats up)? If that's the case, then it must take much longer to heat the water. Does anyone have a link to something where Resmed announced the change?

Possibly your supplier has a bad batch. Tap water should not be an issue.
