Patrick and others do warn that those mandibular devices restrict airflow don't know what your experience with that is but you might want to watch out for that plus I also found a lot of myo functional exercises for the tongue and cheeks and face that also help with sleep apnea you might want to check out

Hey, SeePak, thanks for the reply. As you know I've seen numerous Patrick McKeown videos and am up to page 312 on The Breathing Cure (I'm taking my time, I could've finished by now). I have never come across him (or anyone else) saying oral appliances for sleep apnea restrict air flow. That sounds like saying, "These running shoes designed to make you run faster make you run slower", but even that analogy falls short. Could you please post the quote and where you got that from?

Sleep is getting better. Like I said, it was just a few short months ago I was diagnosed and started wearing this device, and like I said, I have other stressors in my life (like a marriage of 27 years that has come completely apart - that can add some stress, huh? And there are even more).

I've just gotta hang in there. I've found I'm stronger than I thought I was, and I'm very glad I have discovered breathwork, and also this community, although most are CPAP users who really can't help me, it seems. But I'm grateful nonetheless. I've discovered gratitude is very important.

As for myofunctional stuff, I'm all over it (I've probably been doing too much). The next book on my reading list (which I might actually start today even before I finish Patrick McKeown) is this book right here. I have it, and it has loads of exercises to do.

Thanks again for your help.

Hey breath worker,
 page 307 chapter 7
Talks about "certain Orthodontics restricting air flow " but I got that mixed up with mandibular devices I think!
my bad sorry about that!
