Contact Supplier #28, and you can do the motor (with hours reset), seals, and sensor certification for a reasonable price. A zero-time machine makes a great backup or travel device.

Are you Medicare or Tricare?

For Tricare CPAP machine replacement, you need documentation showing why you can no longer use it and proof it would cost less to replace than to repair. You need a new prescription from a TRICARE-authorized doctor.  Does TRICARE cover a CPAP machine and supplies? | TRICARE

If you have TRICARE For Life coverage, you must follow Medicare’s rules for getting care.

For whatever reason, last night (Sat. night / Sun. morning) my machine was working again. Initially, the "noise" it was making was less loud and less prolonged.

As the night wore on, the noise went away entirely. I had reduced the max. pressure from 12 to 10. I bumped it back up to 11 this morning to see how it handles it tonight (Sun.).

I went thru an entire tank full of water. Anyways, we'll see what happens down the road.

I'm Medicare A&B. I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield (Fed. Emp. Program) as my secondary insurance.

Big Guy;
I have the same ins. plus VA ..
If I remember correctly My AS 11 was a $15.00 copay ..
If I was in Your position I would still get the new AS 10
because You said You have extra supplies .. The AS 10
and AS 11 use different climate line hoses and intake filters ..

Yes, that's what I was thinking in regards to the AS 10. I'm happy with it's performance when it's working properly.

My doctor wants me to have a new sleep study. Problem is, no sleep labs around here are taking new patients. I did use one back in 2018 when I first started CPAP. So technically, I'm a patient, just one who hasn't been seen for a few years.

My doctor's office wanted to know if I'd be willing to go to Phoenix for a sleep lab test? I told them NO! Besides, Phoenix is a lot lower in elevation than we are up here in the high country. I don't have a lot of faith in the "home sleep studies". They did suggest that if I didn't want to go to Phoenix.  Dont-know

Big Guy;
Your profile has the Airborne emblem ..
Are You signed up with the VA ?? It might be worth checking with them..
They should have a clinic or hospital in Flagstaff .. Is that about the same
elevation ??
I had a home study test but it was during the covid disaster no other choice ..
I think the over night home test has come along way in the last few years ..
I was much more comfortable at home ..
I'm in Wisconsin The VA takes very good care of Me ..  If Your not signed up,
Check with Your county VA officer or a clinic/hospital find out if Your qualified..
You don't have to be disabled to qualify !!

In case you still want a new machine, I got my first pap prescription from a physician's assistant (PA).  Anyone who can write a prescription can write one for a pap machine - a nurse practitioner (NP), dentist, dermatologist, etc.  Also, you don't need another sleep study to order a new pap machine.  I had my doctor write me a prescription for a bilevel machine to replace my regular machine late last year and did not need a new sleep study.  Good luck!  Smile

My replacement machine did not require a new sleep study, but I did need a new Rx. Remember, the compliance period requires proof of use and a face-to-face visit within the compliance period. You can use any Medicare-qualified DME.

I chose the S10 over the S11 because of reliability and no need for connectivity. Given what I have heard (anecdotally), I think I made the wiser choice — especially because of the sunk costs of the ResMed oximetry kit.
