can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - VINEDIGGER - 06-21-2024 hello. can some one tell me if my insperation time is normal ? flow limits? RE: can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - PeaceLoveAndPizza - 06-21-2024 It is normal. Your I:E is inverted, but that is typical of those with flow limitations, particularly those that are not enough to trigger the FL counter. RE: can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - VINEDIGGER - 06-21-2024 thank you. i tried all pressures all with epr on 3, non of them would get rid of flow limitations. i have resmed 10 autoset. i am starting to think that a bilevel might fix this ? i am still waking up tired. RE: can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - VINEDIGGER - 06-21-2024 what i have read on google ( In order to ensure adequate time for exhalation, the I:E ratio must never be allowed to invert. Inverted I:E refers to more time in inspiration than expiration. If this inversion were to occur, gas trapping is almost a certainty. Gas trapping refers to a little extra air remaining in the lungs with every single breath, as the lungs do not have time to fully exhale. ) is there anything i can do to reverse my I:E ? RE: can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - PeaceLoveAndPizza - 06-21-2024 First, don’t believe everything you read on Google. It is like a drunk know-it-all. What you are likely reading is about someone on mechanical ventilation. To completely correct it you would need to further reduce flow limitations, which would likely mean a different machine like a bilevel. Many have similar I:E ratios. While it is not ideal, it is not a major concern at the moment. Your ratio is ~1:1. RE: can someone tell me if my inspiration time normal ? - SarcasticDave94 - 06-21-2024 While one might be able to coax small I:E modifications with say a VAuto with timing, it probably won't be real needful or consistent.
