I used to need pressure going up to almost 20 and did just fine with nasal pillows, then Bleep, both with mouth tape.  My husband used to need pressure up to 25 and had no problem with his nasal mask.  So, no, full-face masks are not the only solution when using high pressure.

If you have been using the N30i, switching to the P30i might work better.  They both use the same headgear, so switching is quite easy, and for me, the P30i worked a lot better.

An answer about things regarding CA: your listed 5,600 foot elevation status will probably add to sensitivity to CA, low levels like I'm seeing here aren't bad though.
