! - ZBarker01 - 08-04-2024 [attachment=67884][attachment=67885]I wasn't sure if I could legally touch the clinical settings while insurance is still covering payments on the machine. If I can and won't get in trouble or denied by my insurance for making the adjustments necessary then I'm all in! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. haha! I don't even remember what good sleep feels like any more. I'm not your "average" candidate for sleep apnea (so says the doctors) because I'm very thin, so I fought them for four years just to get a sleep study done, took me 4 years of no sleep, a mental break down, falling asleep while walking at work and a lot of begging to many different doctors to finally get them on board to test me. My AHI at that study was only at at 10 or 11 but my oxygen levels (which seemed like what he was most concerned about) were dipping down to 80%, I think most of the night. So Im ready to get this thing dialed in and ready to get some sleep were im actually taking in oxygen. My brain is starving for it! Here are some charts after turning off icr RE: tired and yawning - ZBarker01 - 08-04-2024 [attachment=67886][attachment=67887] doesn't seem like it helped much on the Flow Limitations. Maybe take more time and see if my body adjust? RE: tired and yawning - Phaleronic - 08-04-2024 Yeah that didn't do much, I'd raise pressure to 6cm. RE: tired and yawning - SarcasticDave94 - 08-04-2024 Be certain insurance only cares about whether you're using CPAP and benefiting. They don't care what the settings are or who set them. RE: tired and yawning - ZBarker01 - 08-04-2024 Ok. I'll move the pressure up to 6 and give it a try. Sarcastic actually mentioned that in a post to me before, I just wasn't sure if it was something I could do or if I should wait for doctors, but from the sounds of it I'm probably going to have to figure it out on my own. A big thanks to you and sarcastic for the help. ill switch it tonight and give it a try and keep you posted. RE: tired and yawning - Phaleronic - 08-04-2024 Sure thing, you're welcome ZBarker01. RE: tired and yawning - SarcasticDave94 - 08-04-2024 Don't worry you can't explode lungs with CPAP. Some doctors do try that scare tactic. And you're welcome. RE: tired and yawning - ZBarker01 - 08-05-2024 [attachment=67923][attachment=67924]I have to figure out how to turn down the minimum pressure on this ResVent IBreeze. It's in Cpap mode and it only shows a max pressure, the only way it shows minimum pressure is I switch it to APAP. I went in and switched it then went back to Cpap thinking maybe it would switch but didn't appear to work. RE: tired and yawning - Crimson Nape - 08-05-2024 CPAP mode is a single (static) pressure setting. There will be only one pressure setting, ignoring any Ramp setting. The manufacturer may have chosen a better descriptive title. - Red RE: tired and yawning - ZBarker01 - 08-05-2024 Well that would make since why it didn’t work then. Haha! So I would have to use APAP to change minimum pressure? So should I just be using APAP instead of CPAP then? |
