RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - Rickyricardo - 08-01-2024 Switching from CPAP to APAP levers the technology of having an APAP. I use CPAP when I travel (different machine) set to the observed values from APAP. 5 or 6 as constant pressure seems mighty low. I'd go to the same suggested range 7-15, with EPR of 3 and turn off ramping. Let it start at 7 off the bat so you're not wondering where the air is for half an hour. I'd share your lack of confidence with treatment AHI of 8 and 9. RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - NoCaffAfter4 - 08-01-2024 Thank you! RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - NoCaffAfter4 - 08-02-2024 Last night's data look better than those with pressure of 6. I'm unclear what's going on around 5:00 but am probably waking up. Based upon the image, do you suggest setting the pressure at 10.7, adjust something else, or go with the EPAP value? Thank you! RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - SarcasticDave94 - 08-02-2024 That cluster near the end, is that where you thought you're beginning to wake? I'm inclined to say zero edits to give a second night at this setup to try and map a trend. CA increased but likely that possible SWJ (Sleep Wake Junk) area accounts for it. If you can suffer through it that may be better in the long to go as is 1 more session. If it goes off badly, might have to decrease EPR to 1. This chart, Max pressure was just shy of 11. RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - Phaleronic - 08-02-2024 NoCaffAfter4, with your hypopneas and obstructive apnea events I'd turn EPR off for tonight. RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - NoCaffAfter4 - 08-02-2024 Thank you. I think that the later events are around awakening time. I'll sleep with the same settings tonight, as you suggest, and provide an update later. Thanks so much! RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - SarcasticDave94 - 08-02-2024 We can revisit tomorrow if you want. 2 days of this will be something for you to act on. You're probably going to be closer to static than now, as in a small range. The pressure seemed to change but a little. RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - NoCaffAfter4 - 08-03-2024 Thanks, I'll give that a shot tonight leaving the range at 7-15. RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - NoCaffAfter4 - 08-04-2024 I slept very well last night! I was concerned that the lack of EPR would be difficult to tolerate, but I had no problems. Based upon this data, do you think I should continue to use a pressure range of 7-15 or begin settling in on a single value? Thank you! RE: Change in pressure, improvement? - Nightynite - 08-04-2024 Look at your flow limits. EPR can reduce those. Try 1 for a few night and then 2 if need be. On the 95% I always shoot for .03 or lower. Higher is a disturbing night for me. We need to find what works for us as an individual. So track your changes and data. If your chart was mine. I would be at 8 min. 12 max. Epr. I would test at 1 and move to 2 if it wasn’t below .04. all changes I give 3 days before another adjustment. |
