If the leak control involves too tight mask strap settings, you may need to explore other masks, including style or brand.

Yes I turned it off shortly after trying fall asleep realizing the -3 on top of the already low starting pressure was not enough to even breathe. For the later mask on and off I actually turned the machine off (to check where my AHI was), no ramp.

As to the mask. I don't think it's the mask but my inability to get the right strap tension. When they are brand new, the tension is perfect but I don't have a clue how to use the adjustment clips (will have to youtube that) so I try to tie it in a knot and sometimes that works but sometimes it doesn't. The partial full face mask had adj straps but was not as effective as the nose mask and my sleep dr implored me to toss that in favor of nasal one. When I went in for sleep study they basically forced the nasal one one me and I have been wearing it ever since.

Just my opinion, but it's your therapy, you decide what mask you want. However, you might need to buy a change yourself.

That is unless it's time for mask replacement. Then you can request a different model if you so choose. And that should open your choices to anything your supplier has available.

Myself I've done best with Fisher and Paykel masks.

Wife was able to figure out how to properly use the adjustment clips. I think I'll be good now with this mask with the proper tension. Another question: Are Hyponeas more often "obstructive" or more often "central" or is it about 50/50 ? I rarely get obstructives (although I did get 2 in one night last week), but I have been getting RERA's which are more obstructive in nature so honestly I can't tell what nature my hypopneas are.

Not exactly certain, but I'm under the impression Hypopnea will more likely be Obstructive based. They can be Central, however there's a few things needed to be in place: tendency to have CA probably not the treatment emergent variety I suppose, there's likely a pattern seen if zoomed in that may help identity, only seen a small amount of sleep study results where they separated Central and Obstructive Hypopnea
