RE: Cheyne Stokes Respiration - nadine - 12-10-2024 Thank you everyone for your help! I had a much better night last night. My AHI was 2.57 (down from 13.92 the night before) and no CSR last night! The article on positional apnea was really helpful and I think that mostly did the trick, so I may try lowering the maximum pressure a bit as the extra pressure woke me up a couple of times. Here's my chart from last night if anyone is interested. RE: Cheyne Stokes Respiration - SarcasticDave94 - 12-10-2024 It's looking better on OSCAR, congrats. You can lower Max pressure to 12, see what happens. What are your EPR settings? Also, have you tried standard AutoSet versus the For Her? It might respond a bit better, certainly different. The Flow Limits are your only negative thing according to the OSCAR chart. RE: Cheyne Stokes Respiration - nadine - 12-10-2024 I started on the standard autoset setting and then after two weeks (about a month ago), I switched to the For Her setting. My numbers have been pretty much the same on that setting, and maybe even a little better, so I think I'll stick with that setting for now. My EPR is on full-time and 3. Can you please explain what flow limits are or link me to an article that explains it? I have no idea what that is lol! Thanks! RE: Cheyne Stokes Respiration - SarcasticDave94 - 12-10-2024 OK, the EPR 3 full time is the max. If it were less, I'd have suggested going to your current Max EPR settings to address FL. Also understood in the for her setting. Just looking for areas to increase therapy efficiency. It's fine to leave it. Flow Limits are untimed where Apnea and Hypopnea are timed. Minimum duration for Apnea and Hypopnea are 10 seconds. Flow Limits are a restriction to breathing, up to about 50%, Hypopnea 50-75% restriction, Apnea 75-100% restriction. Here's a link to a wiki, look for the flow limits topic in the menu, I'm thinking it's area 5.1. but the link takes you right to the FL area. Flow Limits wiki |
