I reached the "0 AHI" a few months ago; but had to sleep on my side the whole night, and with a fanny pack wrapped around my waist to help me do it. The fanny pack finally got too uncomfortable, and I've been sleeping the past two weeks without it; sleeping part of the night on my side, and part of the night on my back – I enjoy sleeping on my back more than sleeping on my side! And as long as my AHI stays below 5, I'm a happy camper. RE: AHI and a Good Night Slep - twdc33 - 08-24-2014 Isn't it possible that if your ahi is really low, one reason could be you are not getting to the deepest sleep? Apneas of course go up during the deepest of sleep. Maybe the goal would be to have low apneas AND undisturbed sleep? Disturbed sleep=low ahi,s and feeling crappy. |
