RE: O2 Check Valve - justMongo - 09-17-2014 There is one compressor that is regulated to 15 PSI. It alternately pressurizes two tanks that have a zeolite that absorbs nitrogen under pressure. The tanks are alternately switched between one being pressurized; and one providing O2. Before the pressure is too low, the tanks switch and the remaining pressure is dumped to atmosphere -- releasing the nitrogen. The O2 passes through a micro-particle filter; a second pressure regulator to 5PSi; then to an Oxygen purity sensor. The flow is regulated by the needle valve on the ball flow meter on the outside of the unit. Given that there is some moisture in all air -- perhaps it's not a problem. Still, I'd like to make sure it's protected. RE: O2 Check Valve - Galactus - 09-17-2014 Is this what you are looking for? In technical terms it has a spring loaded doohickey in there, I have no idea what it is or what it's for, just that it was in the unit when I got it along with some other oxygen parts. (sorry for the crappy picture I was in a rush today). RE: O2 Check Valve - justMongo - 09-17-2014 (09-17-2014, 11:44 AM)Galactus Wrote: Is this what you are looking for? (sorry for the crappy picture I was in a rush today). Interesting device. It looks like an overpressure relief valve for CPAP. My current setup -- O2 Tee on H5i Inline flow meter -- I'd like to replace it with a check valve: RE: O2 Check Valve - Galactus - 09-17-2014 Ahhhhhh I see what you're looking for. Sorry, don't have one of those. |
