But what if you have been using your cpap for over 2 years and still wake up every hour?

Usually best to start a new thread instead of adding on to an older thread, but it's okay.
If you AHI is <5 then your apnea is treated, but that does not mean that you are comfortable with the treatment. It does take some work, but it should be "fixable"-it was for me and no I never did just get used to it. First thing you are going to need to do is install sleepyhead free software and figure out how to use it enough to post the screen shots here in the forum. There are lots of posts about it and links at the top for both the software and how to use it.
We can't help if we can't see what is going on while you are trying to sleep.
