RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-04-2019 Thanks Sleeprider, will try these new settings and post back after the weekend. Thanks so much for your help as always. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-07-2019 Well thanks again to Sleeprider my aerophagia is gone the past three days with the settings that he recommended. SR should I keep everything as is for a while and then try and slowly raise the min epap? I feel I am getting better sleep also. Thanks again. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - Sleeprider - 01-07-2019 Oh hell yes! RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-20-2019 I seem to have tamed my aerophagia for the past 10 days. I am slowly increasing my epap in order to stop some of the oa's from forming. I seem to still have the same issue with cluster of events even though I am wearing the caldera collar. I can't really wear any other collar as I have had spinal cervical surgery and this is the one I am able to wear. I was not able to fit the snore graph but looking at the statistics and the graph the pressure is rising due to the snores? Does it make sense to raise the pressure support? I am still getting a good number of obstructive apneas and they last sometimes 30 seconds or longer. Thanks for anyone who can help. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-20-2019 Just a couple more screenshots, thanks. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - Sleeprider - 01-20-2019 The clusters of OA notwithstanding, everything else is perfect. I don't see where increased pressure is going to resolve them. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-20-2019 Thanks SR,any reason my ahi varies so much. I have to say I feel I am getting better sleep. I know your sleep varies from night to night therfore the ahi varies. Just wish things were more consistent, unless this is the best that I can hope for. As always thanks for your help. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - Gideon - 01-20-2019 The big variance I see is where your flow rate transitions from even to rough indicating that you are waking, tossing or turning including holding your breath. Mostly SWJ. The solution, don't wake up! Wait a minute, that really wouldn't work out too well. ;-) Fred RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - yankees123 - 01-20-2019 Thanks Fred, reason for a lot of movement is from shoulder and neck pain . I guess in my case the variable ahi is “normal” for me. RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure? - Sleeprider - 01-20-2019 I agree with Fred. We might look at the onset of these events and see if flow limitation is present, increasing to apnea. You are already using a collar, so I don't personally have anything else in my tool bag to suggest. |
