RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Jay51 - 11-15-2024 You drop into the 80's for SPO2. This is concerning and needs to be addressed. cpap won't necessarily raise your spo2 levels if you have other health problems that are causing the spo2 drops (your headaches, like Sleeprider said, are most likely an indication of this). Some people still need supplemental oxygen in addition to pap therapy. Some use a little adaptor to directly allow the oxygen from the concentrator into the mask during sleep. This can help greatly. Even using supplemental oxygen during the day can help you feel better and stop the headaches, lethargy, etc. You most likely need to get a prescription from your Dr. for this. You can show your Dr. all of your SPO2 readings that you have; show all of your OSCAR charts as well, and give the symptoms of headaches, fatigue, depression, etc that could be linked to decreased spo2 levels. RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 11-15-2024 Hello Jay, are the readings on my apple watch accurate regarding oxygen? if not, how can i make sure i have that problem. Also, why do I have that type of problem?. I am scared now RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - SarcasticDave94 - 11-15-2024 We cannot diagnose why you have sometimes low oxygen. There's a list of several medical conditions that might cause it. Monitoring oxygen is possibly best with a recording pulse oximeter,v so you can see it over time. CPAP really can only reliably be expected to treat Apnea not low oxygen. RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Jay51 - 11-15-2024 If you want to try another oximeter for validity you can. I am not a Dr., so I cannot tell you for sure. Sleeprider figured out the headaches/low spo2 link, so if bipap isn't helping you, supplemental oxygen is the next thing to try. Thanks Dave. RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 11-15-2024 any device that i can use 24/7? RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 11-15-2024 dang every day i post here i discover i have a new thing, what is wrong with me . Any idea which device I can use 24/7 to monitor? RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Jay51 - 11-15-2024 You can use your watch to get a couple of weeks worth of spo2 data for your Dr. (during the daytime as well). This should help your case to try to get supplemental oxygen. Wellue and Contec are 2 oximeters that come to mind personally, but you can do an internet search if you want to try to find one that you can use 24 hours a day for recording. The link below has a list of oximeter that work with OSCAR during sleep to record your spo2: OSCAR supported machines#Pulse Oximeters RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 11-15-2024 Perfect will do that. In the meantime what should I do with the CPAP? RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Jay51 - 11-15-2024 It is your decision if you want to use your cpap (bilevel) or not. RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 11-15-2024 I mean if i still need it i will, my question is, do I? |
