RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 03-19-2022 Thanks for letting me know. Looks like I'm being pushed out of the nest lol, but that's ok, feel ready to fly solo. Almost got a perfect 0 last night! I know it's not supposed to be important, but still it's exciting! Anyway it was just one central towards the morning when I was getting up and doesn't even count so we'll say it's zero. Summer cottages are the best. We used to have one when i was a kid and couldn't wait to go out there every summer. Bet Louie loves it too, You did say you've been in the bar too long so now you're finally getting out-for awhile anyway. Great you can do all that construction /electrical stuff besides being a CPAP/Oscar guru! I will miss you but will carry on and just post if I'm having a problem -a real one, not just a bad night or two. Think I know the difference now. I can't thank you enough for all the knowledge, guidance and confidence you've given me -as well as your patience putting up with me when I'm super annoying. Have fun getting dirty! [attachment=40893] RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 03-19-2022 As of now, there are no more plumbing leaks, but I have to fix the holes in the floor and will be moving the hot water heater and plumbing for a kitchen renovation. fun stuff. There is always a lot of satisfaction when someone is able to turn around their experience and confidently take charge of their therapy. It's a goal to push you out of the nest and move to using your experience to help others. Congrats on the excellent results. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 03-24-2022 Hi Sense...No worries, didn't break my wing and crash back into the nest. Just wanted to thank you for your kind words and your congrats on my great results, missed that somehow. I do share your sense of satisfaction from our great accomplishment, well mostly yours, you did all the heavy lifting, but am amazed everyday that I went from having terrible results to really great results . Also, my resting heart rate has recently decreased significantly so my heart is not having to work as hard to counteract my apnea. It used to jump as high as 127 periodically through the nigh t while sleeping! Now it sometimes goes above 90 a bit but not often and that's ok anyway. I can feel the difference, like I can breathe during the day! I guess it takes time to for everything to balance out and normalize. But thrilled to know my heart is responding to more oxygen and is healthier. A wonderful thing! I just have a question about pressure that I've been trying to understand. Why is it a nice straight steady line, then starts rising and falling? At time it looks related to leaks and flow limitations but other times don't see a reason for it. Does it have a big effect on my breathing or nothing to really worry about? Well, not really that worried about it but wondering why and what it means. Glad you fixed your plumbing problems, nothing worse than plumbing leaks ugh. Hope your renovation is going well. Wow, you must have a ton of energy to be able to basically build a whole new house, can I have some Thank you! Read about it here http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/CPAP_Algorithms I would have no objection to you trying the Autoset Standard or Soft mode to see if that works better. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 03-24-2022 Ok thank you, does everything else look ok? Everything looks great. I should get such results. You have mastered all the skills but belief in your own well-being. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 03-24-2022 It’s already set on standard auto set and the only other option is cpap.So leave as is? Thanks for the link, unfortunately my iPhone 8 wouldn’t connect. Will try on my iPad, think I need a new phone RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 03-24-2022 Looks fine as-is. if you want to slow the response to minor FL, then soft can do that. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 03-24-2022 Thanks but don’t think I’ve quite mastered it yet! But you’re right, have learned a lot, maybe with time will get more secure. Just always so nice to hear your feedback. Would like to see your chart one day, assume it is perfect! RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 03-24-2022 You would be wrong. I posted one of my charts in a recent thread to show the timing between flow rate and mask pressure. So not cherry-picking, My typical AHI is close or above your own. Look at the stats and draw your own conclusions. |
