RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 04-02-2022 LOVE!!!! Omg that is SO good. Just what I needed, calmed me down like instantly. Already played it twice. Can’t wait to try them together, who cares about results lol but have a feeling I’ll sleep great! Btw what good red wine do you like best? RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 04-02-2022 Lots of choices, but it isn't sweet. Cabernet, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Pinotage, Syrah, Pitite Syrah, Barbera, Sangiovese, Granache, Petit Verdot....each with many expressions and variations according to the winemaker that creates it. Asking which is best is a tough question. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 04-03-2022 I don't like sweet either-and think I've only tried Cabernet and Zinfandel (like them) but never heard of the rest. You sure are a man of many talents, a wine expert too! So I get it that it's tough to choose your fave but what do you like best with Days like This? I just can't tell you how much I love that song-especially the video -transports me to another world-the whole scene, the music, the amazing lyrics, the mood, the energy, just him, his look and presence, the guy with long hair, the blond girl and the horns. All of it. Not sure how you knew it would effect me like that but thanks for sending. Sometimes I think, you're trying to distract me from worrying so much about my results and making changes: It's working! I watched the video over and over but unfortunately couldn't enjoy it with a glass because I don't have anything good to drink. I'll get something today, something on your list or if you can come up with a match for Van Morrison would be even better! So on to my chart-had the same experience of feeling too much pressure inhaling at 9-like I couldn't breathe in easily because it hurt my chest. So I hope you don't mind but since you already said the min pressure is mostly a matter of comfort-I experimented with it, couldn't sleep much at all anyway. I even went down to 7.8 which was too low and fell asleep on 8.8. I think I figured out the problem though- I've always slept on my back but since cpap sleep on my side with the pillow between my chin and bed or soft collar to prevent OA. But I noticed that to do that my body is so awkwardly so far turned over I'm compressing my chest-so less room for air-does that make sense? Do you think I can go back to supine but with the collar? Much more comfortable. Around 2:45-3 it looks like my flow limits increased and it's when I woke up and started lowering the min pressure Overall looks better to me but what do you think? I'm not all crazy worried about results like before so that's progress. Thank you! [attachment=41315] RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 04-03-2022 Well, a Pinot Noir is a pretty good choice as a lighter bodied wine when you're drinking more than one, and I didn't even include it in the list above. Looks like I forgot Merlot, Carignan, Cabernet Franc, and a good blend is pretty good. I recommend steering clear of concord grape wine. I clearly missed my calling as a sommelier. Other than the sleep fragmentation in the middle, looks like you're hanging in there. Have you felt more rested in general? RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Crimson Nape - 04-03-2022 Thanks to Delta Air Lines, I got hooked on Shiraz. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 04-03-2022 I actually did try Pinot Noir before and liked it a lot mostly bc it is lighter, the full bodied ones are a bit much, guess you have to get used to them. Haven’t had any for while, think it’s a good time to relax and enjoy some good wine with the uplifting song you sent. I’m so looking forward to it.Thanks for all the suggestions, will probably get Pinot Noir since I know I like it and pick another one from your list. I was planning to have them delivered today but going out tomorrow so will stop and get them then. Had to look up sommelier! Don’t know if you missed it, but you sure know a whole lot about wine. Glad to hear I’m hanging in but what’s different in my chart from when I was doing great? I do feel generally less tired but still kind of low energy unfortunately. To be honest I’m really scared right now because I just got my ct scan results and it showed scarring bases of both lungs. Haven’t talked to the doctor yet but doesn’t sound good. Of course I googled it, always a big mistake, just scared me more. You think maybe that’s why my results are off all of a sudden? I did have pneumonia when I was really sick 5 years ago but do you know if it can take that long for scars to show up? Guess I should wait til I talk to the doc before I panic, hard not to worry. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 04-04-2022 Sleeprider…Just wanted to apologize for laying something so heavy on you yesterday. It’s not appropriate or fair, definitely not in your job description or role. Even though you’re my amazing sensei and feel like a friend, I clearly crossed over the line, way over. I wouldn’t normally have said anything but you posted the exact time I was reading the wretched report and was very upset. Just shouldn’t have put that on you. I got a ton of support and prayers today and feel like all will be okay. I’m talking the doc this afternoon thankfully to hear the facts and not the doom in my head. I did get the Pinot Noir and Merlot but you didn’t say what brand! Yikes I was there forever trying to decide so finally just grabbed the ones where they were almost gone. Figured either they’re really good and in demand or the store needs to order more. Lol, probably not the way it’s done. So tonight’s the night. Finally. Anyway, really sorry. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 04-04-2022 I considered your post, and while I did not feel it inappropriate. Your health condition and its impact is not something I have any knowledge about, and a pulmonary function test is the only means I know of to assess if there is "functional" damage. I worked many years in air quality and specifically air toxics, asbestos, silicosis, acute and chronic health risk assessment for sensitive populations of many potential contaminates, so while I'm okay at modeling risks for wide populations, I'm not qualified to asses an individual. You have an expert, and you should save your questions for that venue. I'll say that nothing in your CPAP data shows any difficulty with tidal volume or pulmonary rebound. Feel free to discuss whatever you want, but I cannot likely relate it to your Oscar results. In the end, after reading your comment, I just moved onto something else without judgement. RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Lorrubdb - 04-05-2022 I have been thinking a lot about what happened and what you said in your post.Thank you for your thoughtful and honest reply. I can see even more now that I was much too personal and put you in a tough spot and for that I feel so sorry. You are a good person with integrity who also happens to be extremely knowledgeable and wants to help. I can see now why you know so much, you are highly educated in your field with extensive experience, have done and continue to do a lot of good in the world. Not a small thing, the world needs more of that. Of course you can’t diagnose my medical condition from an Oscar chart, I know that, Im an RN so don’t know what I was thinking, guess I wasn’t. I was all emotions and fear and got my signals crossed. It was just wrong to ask that of you But thanks for for what you could tell me, that there’s no sign of trouble in my chart, is very reassuring. Unfortunately my doctor didn’t call yesterday, waited and waited but apparently he was busy in the hospital. By 9 pm and no call, gave it up But his office promised me he’ll call me today for sure. He always calls late like after 6 so will have to wait again. Well I guess saving lives can be time consuming Probably too he saw my report and saw nothing to worry about. Thanks for no judgment, hope we’re good and back on track now I feel better today, slept pretty well for a change and have more energy. Love energy, it’s like gold. Thanks too for sharing your exquisite taste in music, wine and cutie pie dogs named Louie! RE: Lorrubdb Therapy Thread: Fine-tuning therapy with Oscar - Sleeprider - 04-05-2022 Louie is giving doggy first aid to my arm I scraped on the boat trailer while shorting some tarps. I am at the cottage doing some electrical and plumbing work, so may not be online much for the next couple days. Glad to hear you feel better today, it's hard to ask for more, and beats the alternative hands-down. |
