RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - buckrogers76 - 08-03-2017 sorry good luck! RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Chicago - 08-04-2017 Hello Friends, As promised I spent two more nights on the 6-8 setting and unfortunately my AHI went up to 4. I don't get awaken by the leaks any longer but I do leak according to the sleepyhead way too much. I ordered different pillows mask so hopefully that will help. I wonder If you still suggest for me to go down to 7? I feel as bad as before the therapy. I understand that even at 4 AHI is being treated but I wish I could finally start feeling better. .. Advice please! http://imgur.com/0SYy74X RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Gideon - 08-04-2017 Well, technically you are considered treated successfully when under 5, though around here it only means to take things slower as you really get tweaked in. Many are under 2, many are under 1, where will you end up? Depends on how well we get the CA managed. YES go to a range of 7 to 7, The CA you are seeing says to lower your pressure (still) Seeing this I think the 7 SleepRider stated vs. the 7.4 I originally stated. Will this work, typically yes, but we never know for sure until it's tried. Under 5 the most important question is How do you feel? What is affecting your comfort? The first step is to get your numbers to what is considered treated, the second is to get you comfortable so you will continue your treatment. Fred RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Chicago - 08-04-2017 Thx Fred, I will try 7 tonight, I don't feel super uncomfortable while sleeping, I'm ok with the mask. I just hope to be less tired during the day and being able to wake up like a normal person. Sometimes I feel that when I allow myself to sleep longer I do feel even more horrible. Especially when I pres snooze every 10 min for and hour.... When I finally wake up I feel like a walking zombie. RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Chicago - 08-06-2017 Hey All, as suggested I tried new settings and not sure If that helped, first night AHI went down, but the second it came back up. Any suggestions?? Day 1 http://imgur.com/1phzH8d Day 2 http://imgur.com/10XQhWz RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Gideon - 08-06-2017 Day 1 range 6-8.4 What time did you wake up? Day2 7-7 What time did you start to wake up? Both nights at about the same time you are getting a cluster of CA events. This with the leak rate up at the same time is implying moving around waking up. Let's give this some time to see if it settles down. RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Chicago - 08-08-2017 I Slept two more night with the pressure of 7. First night: http://imgur.com/QApgqFG Today's night wasn't registered because the card wasn't open but the AHI was 4.5 Also, something happened to the sleepyhead and it started to show different crazy AHI scores of 148 or more, on the days I never used the machine. So I had to remove it and re-install. However, now when I look at the last week, it shows me different AHI's way lower than the original one. Not sure what is the problem. Thoughts? Any suggestions?? It was a weekend so I slept longer. I didn't wake up at the time where the episodes happened. RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - Chicago - 08-09-2017 Hello friends, I changed the pressure to 6.4 -8 from constant 7 and the AHI went down to 3.4. All suggestions welcomed. Also, my sleepyhead continue to show wrong numbers for past nights, according to the software the AHI was way lower then it original was? Any idea what has happened? http://imgur.com/pcCZnz1 weird low score: http://imgur.com/ZQxx7bB RE: Need some advice- first week of CPAP - quiescence at last - 08-10-2017 Dunno but it is exciting to see that much difference!
