But I've been doing this for over 15 years. Two machines dead and buried. Just found this forum and SleepyHead a few months ago. I put my mask on the first night I had my first machine and have never willingly been without it.

MikeyT, you have excellent AHI in this chart, but your RERA and flow limitations are pretty high. I think you'd be better off trying small 0.5 increments of pressure increase and see if those can be tamed. If that does not seem to have much effect, I think you'd be amazed at how you would feel using a bilevel machine. If you ever see a good deal on a BiPAP or VPAP, especially auto, then don't pass it up.

It's a drive, but there is a Dreamstation Auto BiPAP north of Cincinatti (Craigslist) for 250 bucks with 1700 hours on it. Be a good weekend trip for an excellent deal.

I've been watching the BiPAP auto for a couple weeks now. Guy had airsense 10 auto sold for 250 and he's still got the BiPAP auto, keeps reducing it. He must've went through the hoops too, he's on an ASV now.

Thanks, Sleeprider, butI thought that this was a VPAP Auto? Doesn't that show on the screenshots? I guess I need to look them over more closely. It is a VPAP. Pressure is 11.5-20.0.
I won't be buying any machines. I live on SS and Medicare.

You are using a PRS560 auto, which is an auto CPAP. VPAP is a trademark that Resmed uses on bilevel CPAP machines. Vpap is used interchangbly a lot to describe bilevel machines regardless of brands, so is BiPAP, which is Respironics trademark for their Bilevel CPAP machines. Your machine is generally referred to as APAP, auto, or autoPAP. Sorry for all the nomenclature confusion. I have an article that covers this loosely in my signature called Therapy, Mystery and Anxiety.
