Welcome to the forum, Howie!

I see that you are from Creston. Been there once in the early 90s. Was working in New Denver for more than a year back then.

Is the sleep clinic and/or DME in Nelson or Cranbrook?

Dave

Hello everyone,

With a few nights of trial and error my AHI is of concern. I've got a different mask on order, and a chin pillow is on the way, so these numbers may be a little early.

Thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

Cheers
Howie

It looks to me that more pressure is needed when your likely on your back to clear the obstructive apnoea, I see you went from a max pressure of 18 to a max pressure of 8, maybe gradually increase the max pressure until you get used to it and the OA's are treated.

My biggest problem continues. The noise from my mask leaking frequently wakens me. No matter how carefully I put it on, no matter how gently I try to sleep - eventually, I end up twisting slightly and get leakage (mostly around the lower mouth). The problem should diminish once my chin pillow arrives (Canadian post is somewhat slow). I'm not currently connected to a sleep clinic - Out in the apnea wilderness on my own for now. This forum has been of tremendous help.

I'll increase the pressure a little this evening, as this advice seems consistent.

Thank you

Howie

Smile

The switch to the nasal mask and making a supreme effort to "keep the chin up" seem to have reaped results! Makes me wonder if I even have Apnea.

Comments???

Your pressure graph says that you have apnea and your CPAP is working. Big Grin

I would try a couple things .

You can change your settings to up your air

Would keep trying the mask seal fit setting

Make sure that you try to clean the mask every night

I try to wash my face before using the mask as well

Howie..I had the same problems.  Air leaks around the ends of my lips.  Went to an AirTouch F20(Large) and I now have no air leaks, use a regular pillow and sleep on my sides most of the time.
