We will have a lot more tools with the Vauto once you start. Meanwhile, your AHI is super low, and I want you to start lowering the pressure so we can see where obstructive events begin. Please lower your CPAP pressure to 11.0 and post results. I want to get this lower to relieve the aerophagia, and come back with the Vauto using EPAP to hold the airway patent against obstructive events, and use pressure support to treat other aspects that affect your sleep quality and comfort. Prepare to go lower and to provide some zoomed images of the resulting flow-rate. Let me be clear. I want to see the threshold that results in actual airway collapse and obstruction. This gives us the best chance to treat aerophagia and manage your comfort and avoid events.

The chair sucks.

I agree!  I've done that, and it's awful!

Sleep in your bed!   Bed

Raise the head of the bed 4 to 6 inches.  Lower the pressure to 11 as stated.
You need to get a handle on this.

Sorry 2 hours is all I could do last night.  The air in the stomach was not as bad. My throat "felt" restricted I "felt" like I was not getting good air.   So I had a hard time relaxing.  If you want to see anything zoomed in let me know.  I will post it asap.

What now? Down more?

RE: Air in my stomach - OpalRose - 10-10-2022

We don't want to lower it if you feel you're not getting enough pressure, and since the Aerophagia was better, I suggest staying at this setting for another night.

Did you manage to sleep in your bed?

RE: Air in my stomach - Old Bert - 10-10-2022

It was better but not good. I fought the air that was in my stomach all day.  The air only allowed me to stay on the machine for two hours. Though I did not have the level of pain I normally have with it. I will be more accurate with my description from now on sorry. Big Grin

Sorry I was in the bed while I was on the machine. The rest in the recliner. It was not a good night all around.

That's what finally made my aerophagia tolerable.

When you get the AirCurve 10 VAUTO check the IC number on the back. If it ends with CDMA then it used 3G technology to communicate before 3G got axed. If the IC number ends with 4G then you can use myAir and your doctor can verify compliance remotely.

I should’ve started with thank you for your encouragement. That means a lot gives me hope what might happen with me when I get mine. I have no need of a modem at this point. My doc is really close but not much help. I also heard the ones with the modems are really hard to get right now. So I didn’t wanna wait and really didn’t need one cause I don’t need anything for insurance verification.

Ok Bert, drop your pressure to 9
Then post results. We need to get you to where the aerophagia is under control. From wherever your aerophagia s relieved we can titrate you up.
Why were you at 18? That based on these results is way over what your needs are.
