RE: leaks 72-88% of night - staceyburke - 10-03-2023 It looks like you had positional apnea. You were sleeping in a way that cut off your own airway. Think of it like a garden hose that gets a kink, nothing goes through until you get the kink out. Many times it happens when your chin drops to your sternum cutting off your airway. It happens manny time sleeping on your back. Or did you change your pillows to a thicker one? Whatever it is you need to stop getting into that position. No change in settings: pressure will clear this type of restriction. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-03-2023 No change in pillow, I use a wedge pillow due aerophagia. I also wear a cervical collar to avoid positional apnea. I went to sleep on my side and woke up on the same side. We’ll see what tonight brings. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-04-2023 Forgot to move the card back to machine but so excited to see I got 4:36 minutes at 0.4!!!!!! RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-04-2023 Not minutes, hours. 4.5 hours. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-04-2023 Not minutes, hours. 4.5 hours. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-05-2023 [attachment=54796] Here's last night. Used my Amara View instead of the F20. Obstructives seem to be getting through. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-06-2023 Failed to replace card in machine again, but AHI 2.3 last night, again with Amara View. Felt good today, no overwhelming need to nap. RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-07-2023 [attachment=54839] Another night, leaks still down. How's this looking? RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Crimson Nape - 10-07-2023 How do you feel? I would try setting the Trigger to the next higher value, if it can be. - Red RE: leaks 72-88% of night - Fabby - 10-07-2023 I suppose it’s too early to be sure, but I feel better, without that overwhelming urge to nap in the afternoon. I’ll see if Trigger can be set any higher. All this makes me think the sleep study titration was way off seven years ago and that I don’t really need these high pressures. It seems almost magical that the leaks went away overnight. Ive also lost 30 pounds since the sleep study and have wondered if I still need cpap at such high pressures. I guess the current results would argue no. Thanks so much for all your help, and Stacey’s too. |
