RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Sleeprider - 04-26-2024 That's a lot of progress in a short time, and it wasn't the settings! Good job! There are clearly some remaining clustered apnea, but the distribution is improved, and the trend is strongly in the right direction. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 04-26-2024 Thank you Sleeprider! Hopefully things stay like this or get even better. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 05-10-2024 Well, I still haven’t landed a continued low number on my AHI. I’ve tried adjusting a couple of the pressure settings, but I still have numbers all over the place and I believe it’s related to positioning. Here are a few charge since my last post. So, I have reset the pressures back to the original recommendation and we’ll see what happens tonight but as you can see, last night, I had a AHI number of over 7 and I’ve also had numbers in the mid upper 1.5+. Maybe I should go back to an over the nose full face versus my AirFit F30 because that may be why I’m getting the leaks based on positioning? Or, is my mask not tight enough? RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 05-10-2024 Could it be from my memory foam pillow that’s fairly firm? I have a second softer pillow on top. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Sleeprider - 05-10-2024 Yes. I use a medium fill down pillow. Your arrangement really lifts your head pretty firmly above the shoulders. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 05-10-2024 Thanks Sleeprider. I’ll change that tonight also. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Deborah K. - 05-10-2024 I get the impression that you are not comfortable with the idea of wearing a soft cervical collar. If so, there is another solution. I bought a child-size pillow (they are flatter than other pillows) that has a raised front edge. This holds my head slightly tipped back and stopped positional apnea completely for me. My pillow is no longer made, but I found a couple on Amazon that I think would work in the same way. Whatever you decide, I hope you can overcome your positional apnea problem. RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 05-10-2024 Thank you Deborah K for the reply and especially the links. I will certainly look into those. I have no objection to the idea of a collar but I think that the problem may be more driven from my recently bought memory foam pillow and the second pillow I have on top of it. I have wide shoulders and am a side sleeper only occasionally moving to my back during the night. Looking at the charts I’m fairly sure that the times of the clustered events were when I unknowingly moved to my back and then had the chin tuck effect exacerbated by my double pillow set up. Just a guess of course. So tonight, I’m going to remove the second pillow and see what effect that has over the next few nights. I definitely agree that the event cluster problem is positional driven so I’m hoping that I can find some better middle ground to avoid the apparent chin tuck without having to try a collar. But if that is unsuccessful I will definitely give the collar a try! Thank you and Sleeprider again! RE: New ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto - Oscar Chart - Raven87 - 05-11-2024 Here are last night’s results. I only used one pillow but it was the memory foam which is more firm. I’m pretty sure that’s why the leaks were higher with the resulting other impacts? Thoughts? Tonight I will forego the memory foam pillow and use a conventional medium down fill. [attachment=63889] |
