Regarding the card(s), OF COURSE!

I would never dream of using the same card in two different machines--well maybe d r e a m...Do you realize that since I've been able to sleep in 6-8 hour stints (going on a week) my handwriting has even improved!!

Regarding the two OSCAR profiles:

a) How do I set up two profiles in OSCAR.
b) What Preferences is it important I understand.
c) What Preference settings do you recommend I set?
d) Does having to use two profiles mess up anything?

e) Why should I not mix the data from two machines in one OSCAR profile  (not 'one card')?

To create another profile, just click on Profile on the menu line. Look at the right side of the screen and use the New Profile option. You can switch between profiles as you need. To set up a profile you only need the user name, everything else is optional. You can have Profiles for Afib Resmed and Afib Philips or anything else. The File/Preferences options can be left at defaults. For me the most common changes I make are in the Appearance tab. I mostly change the graph height option to fit more or less graphs on my screen. Having two profiles does not mess up anything. Mixing data in a single profile generally works okay. Setup a profile for Afib All and check it out. Between Philips and Resmed there are different events and graphs, so it can get confusing as you alternate machines. Most importantly, use separate SD cards and be sure to mark them so you always put them in the correct device.

All three profiles set up. Thank you.

I began this thread to find out if (as I suspect) my machine settings need to be changed. How much time (how many days) worth of data should I accumulate (most will be vis-a-vis the Dreamstation) before rejoining this thread with a relevant data-post?

If you have the data, since it seems you've been therapy, post tomorrow if you have it. You might as well get started on edits as soon as possible.

Had a good (actually GREAT!) night--no machine/nose disconnects; imported data into OSCAR; blown away by all the data and feeling totally overwhelmed...

Because I don’t understand all the data and in lieu of providing the best data/what you need to help me determine how best to adjust my PR Dreamstation, I’m including my “Most Recent/2 Week” overview.

I’m doing this because:
  1. My Most Recent data reflects the best single-day data set I have.
  2. The Last Week data is largely inaccurate. I only wiped clean/formatted the card two days ago.

What does the posted data tell you?
What data would you like me to provide?

This tutorial shows ho to organize you Oscar chart to make it most useful to us. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=Attaching_Images_and_Files_on_Apnea_Board

·        Using link OSCAR Chart Organization - Apnea Board Wiki to organize my Oscar chart to make it most useful to you.
·        Following its “Summary of Organizing and Setting-Up a Chart” and, per instructions:
    • Turned off the VS2
    • Made sure all labels in the left sidebar do not wrap
    • Removed the calendar
    • Leaving: Event Flags, Flow Rate, Pressure, Leak Rate, Flow Limit: Respironics includes Flow Limitation in Events), Snore

If you're so inclined, using the ResMed ASV would be better than this.

The PS Min 6 looks a bit high, for most anyway. Conversely , the EPAP Min 5 looks low. The Philips Respironics is missing some of those events, and the overall chart looks a bit rough. It looks like there may be some clustered Positional Apnea involved too.

RE: BiPAP ASV Settings check possible? - AfibApnea - 07-15-2024

I’m well aware that Quoting, and Mulitple Quoting are effective ways to generate responses that are clearer, more concise, and better structured. I use Quotes and Multiple Quotes in other forums. Multiple quotes are particularly easy to implement: Go to any response, highlight material for text1, click [multi]…repeat this… Then I can choose which quotes to use, in which order, etc. Very straightforward.

Where are the instructions explaining how to use (the dreaded?) [Reply With Quote] and [Quote Multiple Posts]?

RE: BiPAP ASV Settings check possible? - AfibApnea - 07-15-2024

The PS Min 6 looks a bit high, for most anyway.
For most what?

What is "PS Min6"? Is it related to my "Min 5"?

EPAP Min 5 looks low
What is EPAP?

Philips Respironics is missing some of those events
Some of what events?

the overall chart looks a bit rough
What does an "overall rough chart" mean?  What parts don't look 'rough'?

clustered Positional Apnea
What is "Positional Apnea" (does it mean apnea related to the side position I sleep on? I was always told sleeping on one's back encourages sleep apnea and sleeping on one's stomach is not a recommended way to sleep.)?

What is "clustered positional apnea"?

What does the phrase "involved too" relate to? What is it (the phrase) "involved with"?
