Either are covered, that's not an issue. The newer unit, AS11, is more expensive, to the carrier, but the same cost to you unless your policy is unique. And there's no issue using a Philips mask with a ResMed unit, adapters make them universal. We use AS11 units with Philips DreamWear masks, our current preference over all other possibilities.
