I do appreciate your comments. Yes, the Dreamstation is not a bad machine, in and of itself. My problems with it are more lifestyle related, and not a knock against Phillips (though I dislike the algorithm as you mentioned). Portability is a big thing for me, as is the footprint. The externally visible water chamber and light level adjustments are nice features as well on the ResMED, that I have had trouble adjusting to with the Dreamstation. 

Part of what this doctor is doing is also looking for the other potential issues, like narcolepsy & his previous find of RLS.

I dunno. Just thought I'd post where things are at, so if someone else faces similar issues they'll know what I've found.

I agree with you and have an Aircurve 10 Vauto. I had a choice.
