RE: Can CPAP help my headaches? - Flying High - 01-20-2021 Thanks SleepRider! They are also sending me a heated tube. Is that better than the unheated ones? The DME says that the heat is to prevent condensation in the tube, not to produce heated air to inhale. - I guess that's good, right? RE: Can CPAP help my headaches? - SarcasticDave94 - 01-20-2021 Yes ResMed is the winner IMO. Besides better algorithm, note that a bit of info my RT made mention. ResMed's vs whichever, Respironics or others, if you like the breathing pattern of ResMed this applies from CPAP to NIV. It will feel similar. Same for Respironics, it will fell familiar from CPAP to NIV. Just something to note along with better therapy, it will feel familiar. Might be just the thing to help with success. PS correct on heated hose. It's useful to combat rainout, a form of condensation in the hose because of use of the humidifier. RE: Can CPAP help my headaches? - Sleeprider - 01-20-2021 Your mask, humidifier chamber and tubing will work with the ASV too. The heated tube works just as your doctor described. I cover mine with a fleece cover to make it soft and quiet. Much more comfortable, even if the tube is across your face for some reason. RE: Can CPAP help my headaches? - Flying High - 01-28-2021 Ok. My ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV just arrived. How can I tell if it's really new as the DME assured me? |
