Hi Dave, really disappointed for you and feel your pain.
Would it be worth trying the F30i awake during the day a few times to try and work out how best to seat the mask?
Certainly, the leaks are not helping.
did the like the open feel of the F30i? you said this was appealed to you?

It's resolved.
Brings back a bad memory. When I got my 2nd cpap machine from Dr Inyoue (sleep-doc-from-h*ll) it was a respironics brick. I could buy one of 3 packages. Expensive. More Expensive. Most Expensive. It was a package. Respironics brick unit, humidifier, and a Fisher Paykel mask. You see one mask fits all....I used it for more than a year. No choice. No substitutions.
My lesson? Don't buy a mask without trying it. My DME Supplier charges $350 for this mask. Canadian. Plus sales tax....BUT they hand out trial masks. I was afraid to go there during C-19

SevereApnea--this mask just doesn't work for me. I did try it during the day. That was for a short interval. It was so noisy! Jokes on me....I had my hearing aids in!

Good news--started this all because a Canadian supplier advertised I could buy the mask for $189 CDN plus tax. I jumped at it. News is that they will take it back, unopened.
My concern with full face masks is that I couldn't keep the masks I tried on my face. I would wake up with them off--after a very short period. I never considered leakage. After all I've had many many ResMed and Respironics masks. All nasal masks. Or nasal pillows. I've probably had 4? N20's since I switched from the Respironics Dreamwear.
I was able to keep the F30i on for over 4 hours. But in each case I heard loud noises from leakage. My 74 year old face must be hard to fit.

I wanted to make my life simpler. Instead of chinstrap/cushion/Knightsbridge DS with my nasal mask...I kept thinking that I should try the newest and greatest full face mask. After all my concern has been claustrophobia. How could I have claustrophobia with a ResMed F30i? Bought one, and borrowed one to try just in case.
That was about 8 or so days ago. Cole's Notes...the mask didn't work for me. Leakage. Someone here said my apap was a leaf blower.
Feelings....still awful. Don't know what' wrong.
Last night. Almost 8 hours sleep. Almost no deep sleep according to my Garmin watch. Kept my N20 on. Kept my cushion under my chin.
I'm angry with myself for trying this.
I should know better.
ResMed N30i on trial Please help with OSCAR Readings - DaveL - 07-16-2021
I've used a ResMed N30i mask for two nights.
Feelings? It's so comfortable! I feel each breath is easier than with my N20 (I've used 3 or 4 N20's)
The OSCAR flow shape is different.
But the AHI is much worse. Last week with the N20 my average AHI was 0.5
Please explain the OSCAR charts to me. I don't have the skill to read them....

multicast I've tried and tried.
I derailed my treatment recently trying two full face masks.
My reason in the past was claustrophobia; I couldn't keep a ffm on. Recent attempts with the ResMed F30i and Respironics equivalent didn't work.
Old face; the ResMed N20 works well for me. I've had a few. I use a chinstrap Last night I used my Knightsbridge Dual Strap with it.
