RE: New machine - Jackofjr - 08-20-2021 How does Oscar record max leak if I wake up and scratch my nose for just couple of seconds and cause a rush of air is that recorded as a max leak , can you tell from Oscar how long the leak was ? Thanks for answering all my questions RE: New machine - SarcasticDave94 - 08-20-2021 I'd guess you did that scratch and leak 2 times if I had to guess with the latest OSCAR. First possible was about 0145-0150, second was at 0555 or thereabouts. I went by looking for sharp, high, and jagged leaks and 2 appeared at those times. Otherwise your leak rate has improved a lot. RE: New machine - Jackofjr - 08-20-2021 Thanks Dave I did scratch a itch at least 2 times last night , so Oscar records big LL even if its a a second or 2 ? RE: New machine - SarcasticDave94 - 08-20-2021 It appears it does. With ones you know the source such as nose scratching, you can safely ignore those high leaks. But only if you believe you intended the leak for reasons like this. If you look at the rest it's not bad. RE: New machine - Jackofjr - 08-22-2021 Morning All I thought I would post the last 3 nights Oscar reports for any opinions , it all looks ok to me last night wasn't quite as good my mouth did dry out a bit and I was a bit more restless . I do tape my mouth and I didn't think I had any leaks in the tape , I might have to try the humidifier again , still using the P30i pillows mask and auto setting 8 -12 . I will give the fixed pressure a try at some stage . The leak rate is higher last night but is it still in a acceptable range ? Thanks regards Jacko I have been reading all the other ppl posts [attachment=35014] [attachment=35015] [attachment=35016] RE: New machine - SarcasticDave94 - 08-22-2021 It's coming along, it's not always a good chart, but you're getting the good ones more frequent. Keep at it and you'll get more frequent successes. RE: New machine - Jackofjr - 08-22-2021 Thanks Dave you are a top bloke always answer , I have noticed a Soft setting on my machine I guess its just less aggressive on auto when it has to raise pressure for a event and probably not needed in my case ? I have watched a few YouTube videos on the AS10 and its never been mentioned , RE: New machine - SarcasticDave94 - 08-22-2021 If you want a bit of adventure, try it out. Yes I think it's to soften responses. I've not been able to use that low of a level PAP machine to know by experience. RE: New machine - Jackofjr - 08-23-2021 Morning I didn't try the soft setting but used the humidifier again last night , I did get a small amount of water in the mask , I set the heated tube and humidifier both to manual Tube 17c ( 62.6F ) and Humidifier set to 3 . I might turn the tube up to 18c ( 64.4F ) tonight and the humidifier down to 2 . Where Oscar has marked a event a CA or a OA when I click on it the number in brackets what does that number represent . This Oscar report is that only minutes . Total time in apnoea 00:01:02 . I think I might of just worked it out , lets see if I'm right . Here is last night effort , looking at the last few results if I was to try a Fixed pressure would 10 or 11 be ok or is 11 a bit high ? [attachment=35045] RE: New machine - SarcasticDave94 - 08-23-2021 What do you want to address by the pressure changes? How did you feel after that sleep session? I'm thinking you should leave the pressure as is for a few more days to see what trends come out. |
