RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 Walla Walla, You very well may be right. but bear in mind that if I do the mask test and jam the mask into the bed, it passes the test. Furthermore it also passes if I stop the hose. That pretty much means (to me) that it has to be the mask/face alignment. A further problem is the fact that the DME is 1 1/4 hours away by car and I can't drive. My wife can barely drive! I am going to see the doc next Monday. I will ask him what I should do. Thank you! RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 Crimson, I think it worked. I followed your procedure and then ran Sleepyhead. It came up with the same screen as I got this morning after running FlashPAP. I think that means it worked! Thank you. RE: ASV Machine - Crimson Nape - 04-05-2018 Great Larry! Give yourself a raise and take the rest of the week off. RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 The other good thing that happened is that I received an F&P Forma today in Large and Medium. I HOPE the thing works. If it does, I will have solved everything and can go to sleep happy! I WILL be able to take the rest of the week off! Can't wait to view the results, Larry, but let's not hold our breath till we see an update. I'm glad you got this new mask to try. On second thought, let's not hold our breath at all. RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 Dave, Well, I just read a review which said there were sealing problems with facial hair. BUMMER! I'll still try it because it is really comfortable. It certainly looks like I'm going to have to shave. There must be a series of masks that work with beards - at least so I think. I wish I could use Nasal Pillows. Oh well... RE: ASV Machine - SarcasticDave94 - 04-05-2018 Well, on the positive side, you already know which didn't really work. There's less mask choices to decide on later. BTW: someone must have had the CPAP experience in mind when he said "each day's better than the next". Keep going on this Larry. You're probably very close to beating this leak thing, one way or the other, as you could beat it by eliminating the leaks or hitting something with a big stick. Just my way of injecting a bit of humor so you don't go insane. In all seriousness, wishing you the success you've earned. RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 I just tried the leak thing with the F&P Forma I just got. It uses foam behind the silicone. I could not get it to pass, but the pressure got pretty high before it frowned. It is the most comfortable mask I've used to date but this leakage thing is really driving me nuts. The testing pressure is really high. If I needed that pressure, I could not do it. I thought maybe it has something to do with the oxygen so I disconnected the generator and plugged the connection. Unfortunately that didn't fix it. RE: ASV Machine - SarcasticDave94 - 04-05-2018 How did it go with leaks otherwise? As in, how did it perform while adjusting and then lying down under your normal therapy pressures? RE: ASV Machine - LarryRapp - 04-05-2018 Dave, I don't know. It SEEMS ok, but we'll have to see what it gives me in Sleepyhead tonight. One of my problems is that I cannot detect leakages. |
