RE: New and Disappointed - JoLyn - 01-28-2018

I really appreciate all of your help! I was told when I turned in the machine I used in my study that it would take about three weeks to get mine. If all goes well it should be here by Wednesday. I can't wait to get started on my CPAP journey. One thing I have to do is get the report with the details of my Severe OSA. I have read that I should have that.

You all are great!

JL

Welcome and with the machine coming soon, you'll soon get treated for your apneas, giving better sleep as a result.

I would try to confirm you are getting the machine you want in advance of delivery.

We see too many cases where people get stuck with bricks or less capable devices not to add this caution.

Congrats and best wishes!

Another option for SleepyHead is to install Ubuntu Linux on your Chromebook: https://insights.ubuntu.com/2018/01/30/tutorial-install-ubuntu-on-a-chromebook/

Congratulations JoLyn.

I hope you find a way to get overcome the Sleepyhead hurdle.

Do check to make sure there is an SD card in the machine. I've seen some reports of news machines lacking them.

Having an SD card would create a data history that can be imported later (when you work it out how you will access Sleepyhead).

The SD card would be behind a door on the upper-front-side of the machine. Pop it open and see if there is anything in the "slot" inside. An SD card would eject if one pushes on the slot gently.

Bill today I am going to pick up my son's old laptop and will do a clean install of Windows 7. That should get me over the hurdle!! Also, I'm glad you had me look for the SD card because there isn't one in there!! I'm on the phone with them now!

SD cards are readily available at stores like Walmart and drugstores.  Any size at or above 2Gb in size will work.  The most common size now seems to be around 16Gb.  You will also want to periodically copy its contents to a backup directory on your PC for safe keeping.  These cards can go bad.

Good luck!

Thank you for the good advise! I wouldn't have known that the cards can go bad. I bought one today!
