RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Artanox - 04-28-2023 APAP 12.4 - 14.4, EPR 2 with mouthtape and cervical collar Was asleep till 2 am + so those leaks are not from mask or at least not obvious ones [attachment=50188] RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Apnea23 - 04-28-2023 Isn't it interesting that it's always the same similar 3-4 periods, each one longer and worse than the last. Since you are wearing a collar and taping, surely we can rule out any positional apnea, but we can't rule out mask leaks. I think your leaks will disappear once you have a nasal mask like the Dreamwear and are taping. There's just no way for it to leak in my opinion and experience. I'm convinced this is a REM sleep issue like mine is, and therapy needs targeting towards the respiratory situation during REM. Hopefully without leaks your machine can achieve that. RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Artanox - 04-29-2023 Short session from before, only cervical collar without mouthtape, took a good care of the seal and it worked out but the numbers looks pretty bad [attachment=50230] RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Artanox - 04-30-2023 Another short session with EPR 3, APAP 9-12, only with cervical collar Seems like i learned how to put the F20 fullface mask to prevent leaking Will try these settings to see if there are improvements in my memory/cognition The flow rate chart looks pretty good too [attachment=50244] RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Apnea23 - 04-30-2023 Careful drawing conclusions from 1 hour sessions - we can have zero obstructions/leaks etc during short naps. It's the various sleep stages we enter during full sleep where we struggle more. I would only assess results from a full nights sleep where all sleep stages are present. Hopefully you will keep seeing massive improvements if you have sorted the leak situation. ? RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - outdoor - 04-30-2023 Starting March 26, your leak rate looks high. Have you been able to try a Small size in the F20 mask yet? Mask issues are definitely frustrating if you can't find a solution in a timely manner. Leaks can keep from getting into a deep sleep. I have dealt with high leak rate for years due to poor fitting masks. Recently finally got a new mask to fit, the F&P Evora hybrid full face mask. Sits under the nose instead of of over it. RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Artanox - 05-01-2023 Last night data, APAP 9-12 EPR 3 with cervical collar Leak problem seems resolved. Flow limit seems crazy today Do i need to use EPR? how do i know? [attachment=50261][attachment=50262] If it can help i found the first night with the machine with APAP 4-20 no EPR and it had no leaks [attachment=50264] RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - enjoysleep59 - 05-01-2023 I’m not sure if anybody mentioned it in the thread, but there is a setting in the AirSense 10 that addresses the tube (hose) size in use. When I was issued my machine, it came with the Slimline tubing (15 mm) which is fine I guess, but I had a supply of Standard size tubing at home which are 22 or 24 mm. It’s important that the tube or hose setting in the machine matches the actual tubing that you use. The machine has to work a bit harder with the Slimline vs the Standard and if they are not matched it will mess with the algorithm. RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Artanox - 05-02-2023 APAP 10-14 EPR 3 with cervical collar Seems like EPR give me problems, those Flow limits seems at regular interval Checked the tube size and is correct (standard) size Any idea on how can i procede? [attachment=50305] RE: Low AHI, tired foggy mind - Apnea23 - 05-02-2023 Is it true you haven't tried no EPR yet? |
