Thanks sheepless.

Thanks Ratchick. And congratulations!

I *think* I need to keep it simple. I'm thinking that the N20 ain't so bad. I need to be careful cause right now I'm angry at myself and angry at cpap too.

I need to rush. Whole morning is shot. Got chores to do . I'm going to think on this. Go back through my charts and let some days go by with those settings and that mask. (and I have a full face mask borrowed I haven't had on.)

Thanks Ratchick.
Pressure set on the S10 as you suggested.
I'll try the loaner F30i full face mask tonight.

pressure could've gone to 19 but maxed at 14.2 so hard to figure reducing pressure was the reason. otoh, epap reduced to a max of 11.2 might explain some of the oa (but I lean toward probably not, considering your results at various settings). you could try raising that a bit by bumping min to 13 or reducing epr to 2 again.

personally, when I feel things coming apart, I go back to basics. I'd re-titrate myself with a single fixed pressure. once you find the setting that best treats your oa, you can reintroduce epr & then maybe a range between min & max. meanwhile, keep looking for a vauto or asv. maybe vauto's timing controls will help stabilize your breathing.

leaks were great for the first 3 hours & a 40 minute stretch after 4am. otherwise, your mask gave you problems the rest of the night. if you can figure out why the difference, you might be home free. any insight from video?

could be something else entirely going on, not pap related, but finding a good mask is obviously pivotal.

sleep labs routinely try out a number of masks on people in for titration. i wonder if you or you doc could persuade one to let you take your machine in between titration patients to let you run through their mask inventory. or maybe a dme provider would let you try their masks with your your machine in their facility.

I have mixed feelings about suggesting this but maybe you should take your charts & list of complaints to your doctor. or a reputable sleep doc. the trick will be to be persistent & not let them off the hook. insist on monthly appointments, for example, until problems are clearly resolved.

I hope others have ideas because I'm fresh out.
Thanks sheepless.

I put the N30i on today.  Problem is size I think.

I've got a big head. They gave me Standard frame.  So the frame sits a little closer to my eyes; not half way.  So the velcro thingy at the back slips up back of my head, and the mask almost comes off.  I had used tape across my full lips.  cervical collar.

Wrong size mask frame is my thought.

That P30i trial sure aggravated the situation. Keep playing with different masks to see if you can find one that helps. Curious to see what the full face gives for results.

Thanks Geer1

Last night I tried a F30i.  Bad.  I used it briefly in a power nap about 5:00 pm. Then started night's sleep--but took it off after about an hour or so.  Back to my N20. And tape. Forgot to use my cervical collar.

RE: Please help with treatment review - DaveL - 01-18-2022

Last night I used my old mask. ResMed n20. Taped. Used cervical collar.

Woke 3 times.

First time S10 said "1.5"
Second time about 2 hours later it said "3.5"
When I woke up it said "6.5"

I wanted to print the SD card. I'd forgotten to take it out of my computer. No record on the card. Doesn't happen often.

Back to my N20 mask tonight.

Numbers slowly coming down/leak problem solved - DaveL - 01-19-2022

Feeling better rested than the last few days.  Not rested enough.

n20 mask (nasal mask) new insert solved leak problems.
soft cervical collar
full lip tape.

I don't have csr.

Not csr but there is a fair bit of evidence of a central apnea aspect.

I think you need to try ASV.

RE: Please help with treatment review - DaveL - 01-21-2022

Thanks Geer1. I don't know how to do that with our Ontario health system. Except to buy a used machine.

Dave, there are several Resmed VPAP Adapt SV 36007 units on Dotmed from $400 to $800 USD depending on hours from 92 to over 14,000. Fewer hours would be the better deal, but whatever you might be able to afford to try, it will likely be a life-changing improvement. Since you have no options for ASV in Ontario, it might be worth considering.
