RE: Ozone smell & mask yellowing with SoClean2 - Dchawes2 - 01-02-2020 If SoClean actually worked, there would be independent scientific research papers indicating SoClean removes significantly more harmful bacteria from CPAP machines than does cleaning with soap and water. There would also be independent papers indicating the gas generated by SoClean does not cause more damage to the internal rubber/plastic seals and parts of CPAP machines than is caused by routine use. If anyone can supply a link to such independent research published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, it would be most appreciated. RE: Ozone smell & mask yellowing with SoClean2 - Melman - 01-03-2020 I've done a lot of searching and have found two poorly done studies paid for by SoClean and an article from a peer reviewed journal cited by SoClean that has nothing to do with SoClean or CPAP sanitization. But their device, by their own admission, is no substitute for cleaning. It doesn't clean it just sanitizes. Still suppose to clean periodically. |
