RE: EMF and CPAP - Nicoletroon - 03-05-2023 Now in 2023 I joined this forum having read the 2017 concern of Janice and subsequent postings. I have just measured my new home with Trifield 2 ambient meter (most recommended) which gives separate readings with magnetic, electric and RF, which are quite important given the emerging info about damage caused by 5G and EFM in general. Safe levels have been established and they are low. Greenwave filters makes plug in filters to stabilize “too high” electricity in the wires (dirty electricity) and satic shield makes a whole house stabilizer. HOWEVER the heated hose by itself hooked to the plugged in Resmed 10 airsense machine but NOT TURNED ON both give “screaming” readings. I haven’t seen any postings on the follow ups from folks actually measuring these values, so please answer or private message me if you have found solutions approved by Resmed (don’t want to harm the machine or burn anything up! Or if you have found a CPAP manufacturer who prioritizes low EMF manufacturing! By the way I was first in science and then medicine and the evidence is now clearly there for us (though censored and pooh poohed by corporate interests) that we must protect ourselves from damaging EMF. I need my CPAP machine and have loved my airsense until this sad discovery. But hope at least the regular hose can make a difference. Would love to know if it has for those who have tried it… All solutions and discoveries appreciated! RE: EMF and CPAP - lauriesonnenfeld - 05-09-2023 Hi Janice. It's been almost 6 years since your post. I got similar readings. I have heard there may be a product that would work for shielding the hose. Having a non-heated hose won't really work because humidity is needed and therefore needs to be heated or it's too cold and wet and drippy. I haven't found the product yet I also heard there might be products for shielding the machine itself. Yes The EMF numbers drop off pretty quickly but The numbers from the hose are still high enough to be a concern near the users head. Did you ever find a solution? I also found A website that claims that The sleep apnea can be made worse or even caused by electro pollution. Certainly a concern. Anecdotally they spoke of people who had corrected the electro pollution in their bedrooms and no longer needed the BiPAP or CPAP RE: EMF and CPAP - MBOSA - 05-10-2023 Hello, Just started using Resmed 10 late March 2023. Did not find the CPAP working. Nausea increased. Tech reduced high pressure from 16 to 12 and then recently to 10. Nausea is worse, have headaches and fatigue. I watched an EMF video over the weekend and ordered an EMF tester which I received today. I tested my unit and the EMF is very high - as high as 500 v/M. I contacted my Dr. and am awaiting a reply. For now I won't use the machine. Photo of reading is attached. RE: EMF and CPAP - Crimson Nape - 05-10-2023 Hi MBOSA! - Since 3 kHz to 300 GHz is the dangerous range, what frequency is this value being shown? - Red RE: EMF and CPAP - MBOSA - 05-10-2023 I'm not an expert on the meter but the value is as high as 500 V/m. I believe that is AC Electric field per the manual. The alarm threshold changes when it is above 40. I hope that helps. RE: EMF and CPAP - FaceInTheCrowd - 05-10-2023 I wonder if it would work if someone just wrapped the whole thing in very thick foil and used a long and thick cable to connect the foilwrap directly to the house ground pole in the basement, like maybe even a jumper cable. RE: EMF and CPAP - Crimson Nape - 05-10-2023 So long as the frequency is below the 3Khz bottom limit, it is not dangerous. This heated hose has been out since 2010 (Resmed S9), I'm sure it has been tested. - Red RE: EMF and CPAP - MBOSA - 05-10-2023 Thank you. I will wait for Dr. to reply to see why I am experiencing these symptoms. It could be that the pressure is too low to effectively treat your apnea and that's why you feel tired and have headaches. See if your doctor can prescribe something for the nausea, just temporarily until you get better adapted to CPAP. Quote:For now I won't use the machine. Strange choice. You're giving up the one thing that can help you! RE: EMF and CPAP - Nicoletroon - 05-11-2023 I wrote above and never heard back from Resmed about whether they test for EMF but also never see cpap mentioned on sites caring about EMF. Defender Sield sent me wall paper to try wrapping around the hose and convering the machine itself but was waiting to get my EMF meter back from family to try it as a concerned about overheating. My serious symptoms of dizziness subsided when I had a SATIC power box put in at main electricity fuse box and started using defender shield blanket and beanie and eye shield with cpap at night. My next door neighbor had put in solar panels and all my dirty electricity readings were at alarm level except in one room. They normalized after except for sleep apnea machine and hose. Thx for comments yesterday to remind me about it! N |
