RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - Coffee Man - 02-12-2020 Can you post a picture of using the Swift FX strap with the N30? RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - cronkster - 02-12-2020 Thanks - that's a great idea. I tried putting the N30 cushion in a Wisp frame and, although the frame holds it okay, the exhaust holes are so close to the frame that it makes noise so I gave up that idea. I tried the mask again for 2 or 3 nights but it shifts, leaks and wakes me up so many times it's more sleep-disturbing than the apnea it's supposed to cure. I'll try your idea now. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - MaireD - 02-12-2020 Be glad to share - let me know if you have any questions. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - cronkster - 02-12-2020 Just what I was guessing. Good job ! RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - cronkster - 02-12-2020 For the icing on the cake, I'm going to tie the hose to the top of the plastic headgear, for a tug-free top connection. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - MaireD - 02-12-2020 Thank you! I'm just glad that I can keep the nasal cradle - maybe ResMed will come out with a better configuration on the headgear. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - DaveL - 02-13-2020 MaireD! Wonderful! Suggestions like yours help so many people. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - Zorki1c - 02-16-2020 I am a long time p10 user and thought the n30 might be an improved version. But after using it for a couple of weeks I went back to the p10. The hose on the n30 is shorter than the p10 hose so it doesn’t absorb the shock of me moving around as well and tends to cause cushion leaks. The cushion on the n30 is comfortable but the p10 pillows seal better. The n30 strap can be used on the p10 however. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - cronkster - 02-16-2020 I've had to pretty much give up on the N30 cushion. Been trying the idea of using the Swift FX headgear with it for a few nights, with the hose routed up to the top and secured there so as to prevent tugging, but even though the cushion is very comfortable, just my face pressing on the side arms causes it to shift left or right enough to lose its seal and wake me up several times per night. RE: Resmed N30 nasal mask - MaireD - 02-16-2020 That's too bad it didn't work well, I can definitely see that securing the hose to the top of your headgear would cause leaks. I'm hoping one of the companies comes out with a nasal cradle similar to the N30i, for now I'm using the N30 cradle with the Swift FX straps as none of the other CPAP masks work for me (pillows, masks that cover the whole nose, etc.). |
