RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Brazen - 10-08-2022 Photo bombing pup is adorable. But, yeah, the experts need better OSCAR screenshots. If your old computer can do OSCAR it should be able to handle the screenshots too... Unless the problem is then getting those to this site on the computer... RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Gogirl - 10-11-2022 [attachment=45193] Ok so can’t get my old computer to take a screen shot. Was able to get sleep hq on iPad. Here’s my screen. Why is my respiratory rate so low RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Brazen - 10-11-2022 Is your computer a Mac? Screenshot instructions:
RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Brazen - 10-11-2022 Normal respiration is 12-20. Your 95% is fine. Multiple reasons for low min including: Sleep apnea. Ambien. Other respiratory conditions. RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Gogirl - 10-13-2022 [attachment=45227] Thanks for all your help on this board. Without your knowledge I wouldn’t have known what machine or mask to get or questions to ask my doctor. Your positive encouragement has helped me adjust very well. One week in and I am sleeping 8 hrs a night. It hasn’t been as bad as I thought. Still not feeling totally fine but I know that will improve. I bought a 02 ring and wore it last. Ishtar. Seems like in my levels dropped a lot. Do I need to have my pressure increased. I am on auto starts at 5 and is usually between 10 - 11 at highest point. Less than 1 ahi an hr. Also I use a n30 nasal cushion mask and can get a free one and was wondering what do people use when they have colds etc. really like the n30 I have but want to get something different with my free one. Thinking of the masks n20 or the n 30i. Thanks for your input. RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - DaveL - 10-28-2022 Incredible. Truly! Well done. I have started using a ResMed N30i and it's finally working well for me. Previously I bought a full face mask. My routine before sleep was to put on all my gear. * I bought an F&P Evora Full full face mask; it's beautifully made. I'm claustrophobic and it works for me. (But it leaks on my face) * I bought my 3rd Knightsbridge Dual Band cap, which I put on over the F&P Evora Full * I use a cervical collar Goal was to have a FFM I can use in case of cold, and because I mouthbreath. Every time I woke up during the night for a washroom visit I took that all off. By the time i went to put it back on, I was so wide awake! And I couldn't put the ffm on in the dark. The N30i is incredible. It's so easy to put it on with my cervical collar! And I fall back asleep much quicker. I hope this helps. N30i works for me. DaveL RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - DaveL - 10-28-2022 @Brazen thanks for your help with suggestions for the Mac. I've used an iMac since 2010. However, I'm not computer skilled. Your suggestions really help! DaveL Toronto RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Lucid - 10-28-2022 Hi, Gogirl You asked what do people do when they have colds. I had a cold recently and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to sleep very well with CPAP -- unlike before CPAP, when a stuffy nose made it difficult to sleep. I was using a p30i. I find the top of the head connection easy to use, so I'd think it would be worth trying the n30i or p30i if you get a chance. RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - Gogirl - 10-29-2022 Thanks I went with the n30i. Haven’t tried it yet. My therapy has been going great. Once I cleared up the super dry throat all has been well. Using 8-9 hrs a night. Still waking up to potty but hoping that goes away. So glad all of you helped me decide to use this thing. It isn’t nearly as bad as I had heard. RE: Gogirl - Sleep Apnea Thread - WakeUpTime - 10-29-2022 Happy to hear that things are going so much better. I've learned that the right supplies are everything. I've been having some troublesome results for a week. Tinkering with long-established settings didn't improve things, and even made things worse. Finally, I changed my mask pillow size (larger) along with a surprisingly (very premature) dirty hypo filter and all problems went away. Best of luck going forward. |
