RE: ResMed F40 Full Face Mask (* new *) - RayBee - 07-09-2024

I'm happy to report that I'll be getting an F40 fit kit with all sizes of everything in the next few days. I was due to get a complete mask in about three or four weeks and wanted to find out from Kaiser what I needed to do to switch from my F30i to F40. So I called this morning to ask what I needed to do. I was pleasantly surprised when they said that Apria now has the F40 in stock and they would be happy to send me the fit kit now. Wow!

So I'll be giving it a test with my Resmed ASV and report my experience here. I look forward to so many features it has, that have been on my wish list of the perfect, yet nonexistent mask, for years. Well, here it is, and I hope I can quit with the mask-hopping in search of the perfect mask.

Bouncy

I call this a "fit kit". Not sure if there is such a thing or if they just assemble all the various F40 parts available. But they said it would have all the sizes of mask, frame and headgear. So, cool. Let's do that.

Are you in northern or Southern California?

North. Sacramento area. Fortunately my KP plan now covers DME.

There isn't an official "Fit Kit" for the F40 - which means it is either something they are assembling or it means they are sending you a F30 fit kit which does exist and the person doesn't know what they are talking about.

I only got in about 6 hours last night of CPAP usage. My "events per hour" was 2.2 vs. 0.3 the night before.

No issues with air leakage. I'm still liking my AirFit F40. For now, it's my "go to" mask.  Eat-popcorn

Well, although it's only been four nights of use, I'm somewhat under-whelmed with my AirFit F40 mask. I think my expectations were too high and thought that it could possibly be a game changer.

It's not proving itself to be that. I don't feel that it's any better than my F30. I'm going to continue to use it though and see if I happen to adjust to it better. Maybe giving it more time might be the answer.  Dont-know

So when mine arrives here I should be thrilled because my expectations are that it will suck and land in a box.

You might do very well with it. We're all different and not everything is going to perform 100% on all people.

Anyways, once you get it, post up and let us know how you like it.

What is it about that F40 that you don’t like ?  Why did it not meet your expectations ?
