Sleepyhead on MacBook Pro - Oscar1953 - 12-24-2015

Hai there,
I am new on this forum and downloaded Sleepyhead successfully just a few moments ago, the 'broken version 2015'
I am using Apple MacBook Pro 2012 and MacOs 10.8.5.
And I am using F&P Icon+ a month now and should like a read-out of my data.
But this Sleepyhead app will not open, because of message: 'the high security standards of your Mac does not allow apps to open from the internet that are not Apple or from other known software firms'.
Kind regards, looking forward for answers and tips!
Oscar from Holland.

1. Click System Preferences from the dock
2. Click Security & Privacy
3. Under the General tab you can allow any downloaded application to run. The OS X default is to only allow Mac App Store and identified developers applications to be opened.
4. Click the lock on the bottom of this window to make changes. Type in your password then select the Anywhere option. Now you should be able to install SleepyHead.

Good Luck

Hi Oscar1953,

I believe I have about the same MacBook Pro that you have. Once I right clicked and installed the "third party" software Sleepyhead has been working ever sense.

If the above suggestions fail to work, post back and we will see if we can help further.

Jeff

i.e. "How DARE you try to run a program that hasn't paid protection money to the Mac Mafia? Do you think you own your computer or something?"

Pretty scummy of them to reject the program, imply it's malware, and not give you an explanation or tell you how to run the program anyway. However, I expect nothing better from Apple.

Hai Archangle, I like your sense of humor! Oh-jeez
Mac mafia is bad, but the Macbook, my iPhone, my iPad and the OS are all great and I am addicted to them since 1984….. !
Kind regards anyhow! Ozz
