Z1 Travel CPAP - GingerMan512 - 01-19-2016 I didn't find any threads on the Z1 Travel CPAP (non-auto) so I thought I'd make my own. I have a AirSense10 at home but I often don't sleep there and It's a pain to move all the time. I settled on the Z1 due to the integrated battery solution. That will make camping so much easier. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? I should have asked before I bought it but I can return it if it sucks. RE: Z1 Travel CPAP - bill-e - 01-20-2016 I used the Z1 for about a year plus before getting the Z1 Auto. The machine is noisy (though it never bothered me...did my wife) so get the Q-Tube to quiet it down. Ditch the included hose, use a full size hose. Because it is small and has a small, fast blower, it feels different. Use it at home for a week solid before you make up your mind. Also, if humidification is needed, the HME's work fine. The Z-Breathe algorithm is not as refined as the Z1 Auto, I used CPAP-3 when I was using it. The battery works well if your pressure is below 11. I could get a complete night with that pressure. When I was diagnosed with 14, I could only get about 5.5hrs out of the battery so I stopped using the battery. The monitoring software, which is only for a PC, totally sucks and there is nothing else you can use. I personally would not travel without my Z1, I'm very happy with it. |
