AirSense 10 Resmed - SteveVV - 05-23-2016 About a month ago I went to the doctor and he told me that I had sleep apnea and wanted to schedule me for a sleep study. Currently I have no insurance and can't afford a sleep study so I told him I was going to just go by the machine and he told me make sure I get an auto titration machine and I purchased this particular unit the resmed 10 auto set Airsense. I was pretty tech savey so I figured out how to clear the SD card by searching on the app the aboard threads. My problem is the fact that I'm not quite sure where to set the machines numbers at because I have no sleep study to base the numbers on. I have been doing extensive research and reading and currently my settings are as follows : I'm using the auto ramp feature low setting being 5 high setting 20 for the pressure. EPI IS SET AT 3. I am using a full face, wizard 220 mask and once I get it I'm in position I'm able to sleep at 6 to 7 to 8 hours without any issues or leaks. The only concern I have is my AHI Is consistently 10 to 20 and I'm not sure what to tweak to drop this down below 5. I feel pretty good in the morning and have been using the "my air" software and the sleep number has been 90 to 99 each night. I am really not sure about all the numbers everyone here is slinging out in just looking for a little guidance. On The settings. I know......I'm doing it without a sleep study, but my doctor already told me I have sleep apnea. I'm just trying to not spend the $2500. Any non-judgement type help would be greatly appreciated. RE: AirSense 10 Resmed - justMongo - 05-23-2016 Need to see some graphs that show events, leak, flow, pressure. Two things come to mind. If your leak rate is too high, the therapy may not be effective; or accurately scored. The other is, you may be experiencing pressure induced clear airway apnea. The starting pressure may be too low, and it's scoring a lot of hyponeas. Need to see the data; and eventually you may wish to narrow the 6-20 pressure window. So, in your most recent night: What was your composite AHI; and how did that breakdown into CA, HI, an OA? What was your max leak rate? What was your min, median, 90% and max pressure? RE: AirSense 10 Resmed - OpalRose - 05-23-2016 SteveVV, As just Mongo said, need to see some data. Download the free Sleepyhead software. This will give you all the information needed and more. http://OSCAR Official Download Page ----> CLICK HERE ./ RE: AirSense 10 Resmed - SteveVV - 05-23-2016 9 days of CPAP Data, between Sat May 14 2016 and Sun May 22 2016 Details Most Recent Last Week Last 30 Days Last 6 Months Last Year CPAP Usage Average Hours per Night 06:02 06:57 06:54 06:54 06:54 Compliance 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% Therapy Efficacy AHI 10.11 13.33 16.73 16.73 16.73 Obstructive Index 4.81 8.97 11.74 11.74 11.74 Hypopnea Index 1.33 3.14 3.30 3.30 3.30 Clear Airway Index 2.65 1.03 0.95 0.95 0.95 Leak Statistics Average Leak Rate 2.66 0.60 0.70 0.70 0.70 90% Leak Rate 9.60 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.00 % of time above Leak Rate threshold 4.30% 0.68% 0.93% 0.93% 0.93% Pressure Statistics Average Pressure 12.16 12.55 12.23 12.23 12.23 Min Pressure 6.00 4.02 4.02 4.02 4.02 Max Pressure 17.60 17.60 17.60 17.60 17.60 90% Pressure 15.42 15.18 15.00 15.00 15.00 Average EPAP 9.41 11.35 11.08 11.08 11.08 Min EPAP 4.06 4.04 4.04 4.04 4.04 Max EPAP 14.60 15.00 15.00 15.00 15.00 Changes to Prescription Settings First Last Days AHI FL Machine Pressure Relief Mode Pressure Settings Sun May 22 2016 Sun May 22 2016 1 10.11 0.00 AutoSet (37028) EPR: Full Time 3cmH2O APAP Min 6 Max 20 (cmH2O) Fri May 20 2016 Sat May 21 2016 2 13.32 0.00 AutoSet (37028) EPR: Full Time 1cmH2O APAP Min 6 Max 16 (cmH2O) Tue May 17 2016 Thu May 19 2016 3 15.76 0.00 AutoSet (37028) EPR: Full Time 1cmH2O APAP Min 4.2 Max 15 (cmH2O) Sat May 14 2016 Mon May 16 2016 3 22.72 0.00 AutoSet (37028) EPR: Full Time 1cmH2O APAP Min 4.2 Max 12 (cmH2O) Machine Information Brand Series Model Serial First Use Last Use ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet (37028) 22141600791 5/14/2016 5/22/2016 I cannot figure out how to import sleepyhead charts into this thread RE: AirSense 10 Resmed - Zeeez - 05-23-2016 Steve, Not judging, but you should be treated by a doctor. Find one that will consider your financial situation.
